In most cases, two main varieties are used to obtain broiler chickens at poultry farms: white cornish roosters and white plymouthrock chicken from meat and egg breeds. Then the offspring that turned out are crossed with a white Cornish breed with a meat breed. Breeds such as Rhode Island, Kuchinsky, New Hampshire and others can be used to breed broilers.
It follows that broiler chickens are a hybrid, otherwise called cross, not a breed.
Currently, broilers are bred not only in poultry farms, but also private poultry farmers. This is due to the fact that this type of chicken does not require special care, but at the same time quickly gaining weight.

According to reviews, this is a strong, fast-growing breed of broiler. Owners of private poultry houses and specialists note that it has an effective feed conversion and fairly high meat performance.
Broiler potential ROSS 308
The potential of this breed is simply unique. Upon reaching the age of six to nine weeks, chickens can already be slaughtered. By this time, they weigh about two kilograms. Which is not surprising, since in a day with proper feeding and maintenance they gain in weight from 52 to 58 grams.
Broilers ROSS 308: description and specifications
1. Chickens quickly gain weight, which makes it possible to slaughter them early.
2. Well-developed muscle mass, which is formed at an early age.
3. The skin has a light color.
4. Broilers ROSS 308 very well in adulthood carry eggs, from which the offspring resistant to life is obtained.
Content, temperature and humidity
Before broilers ROSS 308 will be settled in the room, it should be disinfected and washed. The floor should be whitewashed . When all this is done, the floor is sprinkled with sawdust and shavings. The thickness of the litter depends on the season. So, in the warm season, the thickness should be from 5 to 7 centimeters, in the winter period -15 cm. The air temperature before planting chickens in it should be 34 Β° C, during planting not higher than 28 Β° C, after it should be raised again to 34 Β° C, then reduce every week by 2.5ΒΊ. Humidity: 50 - 60% - in the first two weeks, 60-70% - 14β28 days and 75% - in the last days of detention, in this case the litter will be in the right condition until the end. The room must be well ventilated so that fresh air enters and, conversely, harmful gases are removed.
At first, light should be around the clock, and as it grows older it should be reduced. With a not very large livestock, boxes made of plywood or cardboard, in which holes are made on the sides for ventilation, are used for the first time. A grid is mounted on top, on which bulbs with a power of 75-150 W are attached. Power depends on the time of year and the area to be heated. As soon as the ROSS 308 broiler chickens gain 200 grams of weight, lighting is halved.
Feeding
Chicks should have unrestricted access to food and water feeders immediately after planting. Those chickens that eat poorly, after a few days, either weaken or die. Such young animals are planted and fed individually, manually pouring feed into the goiter. This will help to make them vigorous, and they themselves will already begin to take food. When broilers ROSS 308 reach the age of 4-5 days, they must be accustomed to an automated feeding and watering system. Food should be easily digestible, have the necessary nutrients and served in the right amount. Feeders and drinking bowls should be placed directly under the heat source. One drinker and one automatic feeder should be designed for twenty-five chickens.
Veterinary drugs should be discontinued fourteen days before slaughter. Only clean water and food are allowed during this period.
Broiler ROSS 308, reviews of which were reviewed above, was launched in order to satisfy the high demand of consumers.
