Lermontov’s poem takes the reader to the Caucasus, where a sad dark angel observes what is happening on earth from a space height. He is burdened by loneliness, therefore immortality and the ability to do evil are no longer joyous; the surrounding landscapes do not cause anything but contempt, but the brief content does not convey an oppressive atmosphere. The demon (Lermontova was bewitching and at the same time frightening this character) flew over Georgia when his attention was attracted by the joyful revival near the estate of the local feudal lord. The angel of vice sank lower and saw that Prince Gudal was going to give his only beautiful daughter-in-law to marry, and that the final preparations for the celebration were in progress in the house. But the joyful mood of others can not convey a brief summary.
The demon Lermontov can not understand the joy reigning in the principality. The guests have already gathered, the wine is pouring, and Princess Tamara is preparing to perform her wedding dance before the arrival of the groom. Even the Demon cannot take his eyes off the beauty when she rushes with a tambourine, frightened by a doe, then takes off a bird on old carpets. Tamara was given to marry at her request, the ruler of the Synodal was handsome, young and in love with his bride. But still the girl was worried how her alien family would accept, whether they would constrain her freedom.

The feelings of the lord of darkness, when he saw Tamara, was very well described by Lermontov's poem "Demon". The summary nevertheless allows us to recognize in the dark angel a cruel and selfish tyrant. He wanted the beauty to belong only to him, so he sent robbers to the caravan of the groom who plundered wedding gifts, killed the guards, and wounded the prince himself. The horse raced with all the strength to bring the owner to the wedding feast, not knowing that he was already dead.
There is a tragedy in the bride's family: the father does not walk on his own, and Tamara, in beautiful wedding attire in the mountain, falls to bed. Through sobs, the girl hears a bewitching voice, comforting her, telling tales, he promises to visit her every night. The dynamics of developing events can not convey the summary. The demon of Lermontov confuses Tamara: she realizes that a beautiful young man, who comes to her in dreams, cannot be a guardian angel, but he does not look like the devil of hell either. To avoid temptation, the girl asks her father to give her to the monastery. Prince Gudal is angry because the suitors besiege the estate, hearing Tamara’s constant refusals, but nevertheless agrees to fulfill her request.

The strength, selfishness and perseverance of the dark angel was shown in his poem by Lermontov. The demon (a brief summary of the poem reveals its true essence) understands what feelings a girl evokes - she is in love with him, tries to pray to icons, and prays to him. He wants physical intimacy, but understands that the beauty will pay for this with her life, so he hesitates with the decision. At night, the Demon approaches the cell with the desire to abandon his treacherous plan, but cannot take off. A tear rolls down his cheek, but he nevertheless approaches the girl.
Next to Tamara’s bed is her guardian angel, who asks the Demon to leave, but he explains that the protector came too late. The girl no longer likes the conversations of a dark stranger, he does not seem to her as beautiful as in a dream. But can a brief summary convey the fullness of Tamara’s feelings? The demon Lermontov sees the beauty’s doubts, opens her soul, and Tamara allows herself to be touched. In the middle of the night there is a piercing scream and a dying moan that only the monastery watchman heard ...
Prince Goodall decided to bury his daughter in an alpine family cemetery, where the jagged cliffs to this day guard the peace of the beloved Demon.
