Andrey Mikheev is a Russian footballer playing today for a small club called The Seagull. He is 29 years old, so now he is at the peak of his career. However, he has not yet been able to achieve impressive results. Andrey Mikheev plays on the position of the right winger, but if necessary, can also take the place of the central striker.
Carier start
Andrey Mikheev was born on July 1, 1987 in the Soviet city of Rostov-on-Don. There he began to play football. First, Andrei entered the Rostov - 21st Century football school. And in 2002 he joined the football academy of the Rostselmash club. In 2003, he changed his academy, moving to Torpedo-ZIL (now called Moscow), and in 2004 he moved to the Rostov club SKA. There he spent two years. However, the athlete did not receive an offer to sign a professional contract. Therefore, he had to look for another club. And the first team, for which Andrei Mikheev played, was the Podolsky Vityaz.
Early years
Andrei Mikheev spent only one year at Vityaz, showing very good results. He played 23 matches and scored four goals. As a result, in 2007 he ended up in Saturn, but there was no place for him at the base - Andrei played exclusively for the double. Therefore, the footballer was quickly sent on lease to Taganrog, where he showed that he was capable of much.
In 33 matches, he scored nine goals. However, having returned to Saturn, the footballer quickly realized that only the second team was waiting for him there again. Therefore, a month later he found a new club for himself - Krasnodar showed interest in the young player, and he signed it. Since January 2009, Mikheev Andrey began to be in the ranks of the new team, where he spent the best part of his career.
The game in Krasnodar
As already mentioned above, it was in Krasnodar that Mikheev Andrei Vasilievich was able to find a place for himself where he could open up and realize himself. For three years, the winger defended the colors of the club and managed to hold many matches in his form. On the account of Mikheev as a result there were 86 matches in which he scored 15 goals.
However, in the summer of 2012, the club decided to terminate the contract with the player. It clearly did not correspond to the new level that Krasnodar was reaching. This happened as a result of mutual agreement. And Andrei Mikheev, whose biography from that moment was no longer so impressive, joined Ufa.
Further career
In the new club, Mikheev spent only a year, failing to win a place in the starting lineup. He played only ten matches, after which he moved to Salute. There, the athlete spent quite a successful six months, played 20 matches. He scored five goals and again tried to go up, signing a contract with Rotor. But there in six months he entered the field only seven times, without scoring a single goal. As a result, the summer of 2014 was followed by a transition to Sakhalin, where Mikheev had even fewer matches - only five.
Six months later, he moved to Torpedo-Armavir and was already able to gain a foothold in the starting lineup. For a year and a half, he entered the field 36 times, scoring four goals. However, in the summer of 2016, his contract with the club expired. The athlete moved to the "Seagull" from Peschanokopskogo. There he has been performing for six months. Now, Andrei has another six months of the contract in stock, after which he will most likely have to look for a new job.
Team appearances
Unfortunately, Mikheev failed to break into the Russian national football team. Moreover, he practically did not perform at the international level, even in youth or reserve teams. He has only two matches on his account for the Russian youth team under the age of 19, as well as one single game for the Russian Olympic team. The latter took place in 2011. Since then, the player has not been called up to any national team. And given how his career is currently developing, the likelihood of a re-call is becoming less and less every year.
In principle, Mikheev will turn thirty this summer. His football career will enter the final stage. But for now, he has a contract with Seagull, for which he will advocate before the summer of 2017. And what will happen next - time will seem. Football is a sport in which absolutely anything can happen. So you should not write off someone in advance. Perhaps, at least for Chaika, Andrey Mikheev will become an important member and will be able to help his team.
