History
The construction of a new station in Nizhny Novgorod was planned back in 1986. It began or stopped again, and only in June 2008 a solemn ceremony was held to resume construction. According to the technical parameters, the station is 16 meters deep of column type. The island platform is only 102 meters long. For passengers, the new Gorkovskaya metro station in Nizhny Novgorod was launched almost six years ago.

During its construction, the latest technologies were used. The approaches to the trains are laid with a special tactile tile, which allows blind and visually impaired passengers to enter the car without the help of others. In addition, for individuals with disabilities, as well as for passengers with small children and strollers, lifts are provided that take them directly to the platforms. A modern rail mount has reduced train noise. The interval between formulations is approximately six minutes. The passenger flow of the Gorkovskaya metro station in Nizhny Novgorod on the first day of operation was about 23 thousand people, and in the first half of the year - 3 million.
Station decoration
The petrel bird from the works of M. Gorky was taken as the basis for the design of the station. Arched braces, stylized as bird wings, diverge from columns to the ceiling. In the decoration of the landing platforms used mosaic. The columns are light marble and the walls dark. A continuous line of fixtures is located in the center of the ceiling.
This station is the youngest and most modern on the Avtozavodskaya metro line of the city. All passengers have the opportunity to use the Internet and mobile communications. Near the station there are several public transport routes.
