Vasily Kobin - Shakhtar footballer. The fate of the football player

Vasily Kobin is a famous Ukrainian football player, a pupil of Uzhgorod football. In “Transcarpathia” he was called the soul of the team, and in the first season in the “Carpathians” he received the prize “Star of the Carpathians”.

Transcarpathia - the birthplace of a football player

Vasily Kobin was born on May 24, 1985. He was born not in the regional center, but in the village of Strabichovo, Mukachevo district. A few years after the birth of Vasily, the Kobins family moved to Uzhgorod, so he received football education in the youth groups of Uzhgorod.

The first coach in youth football was the Hungarian Imre Lendel, who worked in the Youth Sports School of Uzhgorod. As part of the SDYUSHOR and DYUSSH-1 teams, he played for the corresponding age groups in the championship of the Children and Youth Football League of Ukraine.

Professional debut

At 16, he first played at the professional level. Then there was still such a team as Transcarpathia-2, which played in the second league of Ukrainian football. The first match in this team, the half-man spent at the age of 16 years and 59 days on July 22, 2001. The rival was also from Western Ukraine - the now defunct team "Podillia" (Khmelnitsky). Kobin could not be scored in the opening match, although his team won 3-0. In the 2001/2002 season, Vasily Kobin held 15 fights for a double of the Uzhgorod club, in which he scored 1 goal against the opponents.

At a higher level in the first Ukrainian league, he played two seasons (from 2002 to 2004). In the 2002/2003 season, that is, immediately after the transfer from the double, Kobin played only 6 fights for the base. The period 2003/2004 became for “Transcarpathia” gold in the first league. A football player from Mukachevo district appeared on the field 21 times. Once marked a goal against the opponents.

Kobin declared himself in the elite

The country learned about the capabilities of Kobin as a player already in 2004. The fact is that the matches of the 1st and 2nd leagues were not broadcast on television, but the competitions of the top division, where Transcarpathia debuted on July 20, 2004, were shown.

Immediately the team fell into a serious test - a duel against the capital “Dynamo”. By the way, in his interviews, Vasily repeatedly talked about that match. Debut, nerves, and then the champions at once ... Uzhgorod residents lost with dignity - 1: 2.

In the major league for “Transcarpathia” Vasily Kobin spent 47 matches and scored 4 goals. In the 2006/2007 season, the player goes to the Lviv “Carpathians”. This transition can be regarded as an increase, because the “Carpathians” in their playing level and success have always been and remain more successful than Uzhgorod residents. 3 seasons, 83 matches, 11 goals ... All these matches were played by Vasily Kobin practically without substitutions. The footballer became the leader of the team, so the Donetsk Shakhtar coaches drew attention to him.

Shakhtar and Kobin: what doesn’t work?

In the summer of 2009, Vasily Kobin goes to Shakhtar Donetsk. At that time he was on the crest of fame, was the leader of the Lviv “Carpathians”, which also then strengthened and rose. The choice in favor of Shakhtar seemed logical, because the club had just won the UEFA Cup. Kobin's mistake did not immediately become visible, because in the season of 2009/2010, he played 28 matches in the first team. The very next year, it became clear that Kobin was losing the competition in position to Shakhtar captain and Croatian national team Dario Srne. What is the reason? Probably in stability. Although Kobin already had enough experience at that time, but the Croat had more stability. Kobin also in his technical arsenal was able to bring up less sports skills. For example, he is not as effective in attack as Dario Srna.

The number of matches held as part of the team became less and less every season. From 2010 to 2016, he played for Shakhtar with only 31 matches. He was leased twice: to Soligorsk Shakhtar and Metalist. We are talking about the last two years - 2014 and 2015. While on a lease, Vasily Kobin (photo attached) played a total of 20 matches, that is, on average he played more matches over the season than it was at Shakhtar. Perhaps he should change the team.

Vasily Kobin is a very talented and somewhat original Ukrainian footballer who was never able to fully realize his talent.
