The solution may be to disable all extensions that interfere with the normal operation of the Firefox browser. Safe mode should launch an application that must be removed from the list of running processes in the task manager before.
You need to go to the main menu, and from it - to the directory "Mozilla Firefox" and select the special item Firefox Safe Mode. In the absence of this folder, the “Run” instruction is selected from the main menu, and the command “C: \ Program Files \ Mozilla Firefox \ firefox.exe -safe-mode” is inserted. After that, the user enters safe mode.
When using safe mode, the browser uses a standard theme for decoration, and also disables the use of extensions. You can also independently refuse the additions from the “Tools” sub-item, where in a separate window you can remove the checkmarks or vice versa - put in problem areas. Leaving only the most necessary, the browser will work better in normal mode.
Safe mode is not always required, it is enough just to create a new profile to get rid of problems in freezing, long loading of web pages and other things. To use this feature, you need to add the –p prefix to the standard command. In the user selection window, the “Create” key is pressed and a specific name is set.
Only in the most extreme cases, when even safe mode does not solve the problem, the browser is completely reinstalled or replaced with a later version. Mozilla may stop working for several reasons. For example, with the destructive actions of viruses, the harmful work of additional plug-ins, due to incompatibility problems with the system and so on.
Another way to start safe mode is to set up a launch shortcut. To do this, go to its properties and append the safe-mode command to the executable file. After starting Firefox, an additional window appears where the user agrees with the proposed mode or exits.
