Zelenograd is one of the districts of Moscow. Literally "Zelenograd" means a green city. It is located 37 km northwest of the central part of the Russian capital. Located on the outside of the MKAD. Thus, the population dynamics in Zelenograd demonstrates a picture opposite to that observed in most cities of the Russian Federation.
In 2018, the number of residents amounted to 243 thousand 84 people.
Zelenograd problems
In Zelenograd, transport problems are quite acute. City transport is represented only by buses. The bus fleet of Zelenograd is quite significant. However, communication with Moscow is carried out only by means of electric trains and motorways overloaded with transport.
Parks of Zelenograd
Zelenograd has created a large number of parks. Each of them has its own individual characteristics. Some of them are close to the natural environment, while others are close to urban.
City park (forest park area)
This is the largest park in Zelenograd. There are more than a hundred hectares of forest: coniferous and deciduous. The relief is not even. In depressions, rivers and streams flow. Wooden bridges are laid through them. Directly adjacent to the borders of this huge green zone are residential complexes, roads and industrial enterprises. The park has gazebos, furniture, playgrounds for children's games and recreation.
Arboretum
Zelenograd Arboretum is a cognitive botanical object located opposite the Scientific Center. Different types of trees and shrubs were planted here (more than 70 species). Placed below them are plates showing basic information about the corresponding plant. Usually there are few people here. There are benches in the park opposite flower beds. Good place for a relaxing break and privacy.
Victory Park
This recreational facility is very different from the first two. It is also not designed for a noisy vacation, but has a completely different appearance and a different purpose. The park is a green zone, but highly cultivated and with fewer trees. It has artificial waterfalls, fountains, trimmed lawns, asphalt paths, etc. There are also paraphernalia dedicated to victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Children's fleet
This unpretentious place is created, first of all, for children. In addition to green (pine and deciduous) plantations, bicycle asphalt paths and miniature toy houses have been created here, introducing children to the rules of the road. The tracks are marked with road markings.
Park "Peer"
This is a small landscaped green corner. It is located in the fifth micro district, where Moskovsky Prospekt intersects with the Leningradskoye Shosse. In the center is a small flowerbed surrounded by cobblestone pavement tiles. Here you can put flowers at the memorial to soldiers killed in peacetime.
Gardening is represented by deciduous trees and trimmed bushes of lawns. Grass is also trimmed. Due to the diversity of tree species, this square is filled with all kinds of colors in the fall. There is artificial lighting.
Park "Sculptor"
This place is an alley located in the 9th microdistrict of Zelenograd. Here is a whole collection of limestone sculptures. 10 sculptors worked on it. In the park you can see sculptures of a mother with a child, a dog with a girl, a dog, a nursing puppy, etc. Material for making statues was brought from the city of Voskresensk. Sculptures are allowed to touch.
Chestnut Alley of Veterans
It is a calm, quiet place created for relaxation and walks. Nearby is Columbus Square. The alley is a chestnut landing made by veterans of the Great Patriotic War. It is a good place to stay for locals and visitors. In 1997, the square was supplemented with a white stone stella with a dove.
Alley of love
This is a favorite place for children and honeymooners. Its peculiarity is that the “Tree of Love” was planted here, on which young couples walking after the wedding hang locks and throw keys from them into a nearby lake. On the branches you can see hundreds of such locks.
There is also a playground for children, benches, gazebos, a sports ground and a stage. On weekends and holidays, concerts and entertainment are held.
Apple Alley
This is a quiet place among the bustle of the city, which is a street with plantings of apple trees. The yards of the microdistrict approach the street itself. The most beautiful period here is the flowering period of apple trees. People love to come back here again and again.
Amusement Park in Zelenograd
The official name of this institution is Luna Lunapark. It is located near Zelenograd in the village of Andreevka. You can get there by bus or private car. This is a whole entertainment town with a focus on children. In addition to the attractions themselves, you can taste cotton candy, cool drinks, popcorn. The park is open from 13:00 to 22:00; on weekends and holidays - from 11:00 to 22:00.
Pension
Pension "Nikolsky Park" in Zelenograd was created for the rehabilitation of elderly people who have a special preferential status. This is a nine-story building with a restaurant, recreation areas, comfortable rooms. Services are mainly of a medical nature. Pension Nikolsky Park (Zelenograd) is located in an ecologically clean area of the city.
