Mubarak Boussoufa, whose photo is presented in the article, is a Moroccan professional footballer playing as an attacking midfielder in the Al Jazeera club (UAE) and the national team of Morocco. He has dual citizenship - Moroccan and Dutch. During his career, he performed at clubs such as Gent, Anderlecht, Anji and Lokomotiv. Mubarak Bussufa was born on August 15 in 1984 in Amsterdam (Netherlands). From the age of twelve he began to play at the Ajax youth academy in Amsterdam. Previously played for Dutch youth teams such as Middenmere and Fortius (1994-1996). In 2001, he joined the London Chelsea Youth Academy, where he played until 2004.

Career at Anderlecht

In June 2006, Bussufa signed a contract for 4 years with the Belgian Anderlecht. The amount of the transfer transaction amounted to 3.5 million euros. In his debut season for the “Purple and White” he played in 45 matches in all possible tournaments and scored 10 goals (plus 13 assists). In the next four seasons he was a non-replaceable base player. It was in Anderlecht that midfielder Mubarak Bussufa became a wealthy and authoritative footballer. Here he won many trophies and awards, both personal and team. In total, he played 207 matches for the Purple-White, where he scored 58 goals and 87 assists.

Career in the Russian Premier League

On March 7, 2011, the Russian club Terek Grozny (now Akhmat) announced that it intended to sign a contract with the Moroccan midfielder, but after three days the negotiations were interrupted. According to the vice president of Terek, Khaidar Alkhanov, the Moroccan footballer put forward unacceptable conditions in his personal contract. In the late evening of March 10, it became known that Mubarak Bussufa had signed an agreement with another Russian club, Anji Makhachkala.

As part of the “Makhachkala residents” he played for two seasons (from 2011 to 2013). During this time he took part in 87 matches, in which he scored 13 goals and scored 22 assists. Speaking for “Anji”, he was included in the list of 33 best top-players of the Premier League for the 2011/2012 season (3rd place in the list).

On August 16, 2014, Mubarak Bussufa signed a 3-year contract with Lokomotiv. The deal amounted to 15 million euros. This figure was a record in the transfer history of Lokomotiv.

In the summer of 2015, Anderlecht intended to redeem its former player, but the deal fell through due to disagreement between the parties. Such conditions were not accepted by the Belgian club.
