Tomato Kuum: variety description, plant care

Today, not a single country or personal plot is likely to do without planting beds of tomatoes. And if the area is not very large and many varieties cannot be planted at the same time, then gardeners often face a dilemma about which variety to prefer. We propose to consider the variety of tomato Kuum, which will be presented in the article.

Seedlings of tomato Kuum

Grade description

This amazing tomato variety appeared due to the efforts of Ukrainian breeders at the beginning of the XXI century. The hybrid has not yet been included in the State Register of Russia, remaining a famous "national" variety.

Tomato Kuum is considered indeterminate. Besides the fact that he has unlimited growth, many breeders are surprised by the strength and power of the bush. The height of the plant can reach two meters or more, and even when planting tomatoes in open areas without fertilizer, Kuum can grow up to 180 cm. The leaves are characterized by large sizes, as well as a standard rugged shape.

Many gardeners boldly call this variety greenhouse, since it is under film or other dense shelters that it is able to show itself in all its glory. In open areas it is planted in the southern regions of our country. This is due to the fact that with a lack of heat and sunlight, tomato Kuum has low yields.

Despite this feature, the hybrid plant was not created in a warm climate. With a standard planting of tomato seedlings in a greenhouse in mid-spring (mainly in May), the first crop is harvested from mid-summer.

Characteristics of tomato Kuum

Characteristics of tomato Kuum

This hybrid variety compares favorably with the following properties:

  • Ripe vegetables have the most traditional flat round shape. The largest fruits in the area of connection with the peduncle form many folds.
  • The fruits of tomato Kuum, undoubtedly, are classified as large-fruited and beef tomatoes. And this phenomenon is quite rare for early ripe varieties. After all, the weight of even small-sized tomatoes of this variety is 300-400 grams, and the largest tomatoes can have a mass of 1000 grams.
  • The surface of the skin is smooth, uniform, saturated red, without green and white spots.
  • The pulp of vegetables is fleshy, dense, juicy.
  • The photo of tomato Kuum shows that the fetus has many seed chambers in which there is a minimum number of seeds that are small in size. In the very first fruits, they may not exist at all. When a desire arises to propagate a hybrid variety using seeds, late fruits are used, from which the grains are well extracted.
Kuum Tomato Fruits
  • The taste of Kuum tomatoes is estimated by many gardeners to be excellent. The fruits of the early ripe variety have a slight sugar content and sweetness.
  • This variety has a pleasant tomato flavor.
  • Tomatoes for salad purposes are excellently chopped and, when cooked, do not turn into porridge. Thanks to this, they can be dried in the oven, cooked in a double boiler and subjected to other cooking. That's just for canning vegetables are not intended at all, as they have large sizes.
  • Tomatoes are stored well, especially considering their gigantic size. When stored in cool rooms, vegetables may not lose their marketability for up to 2-3 weeks.
  • Hybrid variability is average.
Care for tomato Kuum

Leaving and landing

Despite the characteristics of this variety, the cultivation of tomato seedlings is practically no different from the cultivation of other hybrids. In addition, due to his early ripeness, sowing seeds for seedling formation is possible during the whole of March.

Based on this, gardeners are advised to start top dressing already 6-7 days after the dive, as soon as the plants grow. Tomatoes need to be fed a maximum of 1-2 times a week. They use special complex nutritional mixtures for this.

Gardeners are advised to plant no more than three bushes on the beds in greenhouse constructions per square meter. It is advisable to initially tie young seedlings to props. The main procedures in the care of the plant are the formation of a bush and its garter. In the formation of branches with large fruits, it is also important to strengthen them.

Positive and negative sides

We can conclude from the reviews that tomato Kuum enjoys popular love. This is due to the fact that the variety has many advantages, in particular such as:

  • Early ripening.
  • Great taste.
  • It is possible to get large fruits as a result.
  • High yield.
  • Excellent preservation of ripe fruits for a long time.
  • Good resistance to weather and other adverse conditions.

Among the flaws, only the laboriousness in growing the plant can be distinguished, since the hybrid variety needs constant bush formation and strengthening (garter) of not only powerful stems, but also fruits.
