Types of wrestling are currently classified into international (sports), which are widespread throughout the world - free and Greco-Roman, judo and sambo, as well as national, inherent in individual nationalities and nationalities. The latter are distinguished by their specific rules.
Classical international wrestling as a type of martial arts is divided into several different types. An exception can be considered judo. This is a Japanese type of wrestling that is widespread in all corners of the world.
Classification
It is based on the rules, actions and techniques that are followed to achieve victory over the enemy. All existing and existing types of struggle are usually classified into seven groups.
1. The fight in the stance without the participation of legs and grabs of the body below the belt.
The group has such features:
1) captures are performed not lower than the belt;
2) it is forbidden to perform kicking techniques ;
3) it is forbidden to fight in the stalls (lying).
The main feature of the technique is power movements, lifting and throws of the enemy or dumping him on his back. This group includes the Russian "fight", the Moldavian "trynte-dryapte", the Tatar "kuryash" (silt), the Uzbek, the "Chukchi-Koryak", the "Kalmyk" and the ancient Greek struggle.
2. Fighting in a stance involving legs, but excluding a grip below the waist.
The characteristic features of this group are:
- a suit with a soft belt;
- allowed foot action.
Capture is performed mainly by the belt. These types of wrestling allow grabs for a suit above the waist. There is no fight in the stalls. The group includes the Russian struggle "not in a fight", the Kazakh "kures", the Kyrgyz "kuresh", the Tajik "gusti" (silt), the Turkmen "gorsh", the Georgian "chidaoba" (silt) and other species.
3. The fight in the rack with the participation of the legs and the implementation of the capture below the belt.
A characteristic feature of this type is that the techniques are performed with the grip below the waist, while simultaneously applying the techniques with your feet. A common element of the costume is the belt for which they hold. There is no fight in the stalls. These include the Tajik struggle "Bukhara Gushti", the Tuvan "Kuresh / Khuresh", the Mongolian "Barilda" (silt), the Yakut "Hapsagai", the North Caucasian "Tutush" and others.
4. Fight in the stance, as well as lying without the participation of legs and capture below the belt.
The types of struggle of this group are characterized as follows: the battle is fought while standing and lying down (stalls). Kicking is prohibited, as is grabbing for them. Captures by hands, neck, torso are permitted. Such rules require athletes to be powerful, smart, stamina. An example is the struggle of the international Greco-Roman.
5. The fight in the stance and lying with legs and a grip below the belt.
The group is characterized by receptions with grips for the legs. This type includes freestyle wrestling, ancient Egyptian (silt), ancient Greek, Iranian, Persian "koshti", Pakistani "kushti", Turkish "guresh" (silt), etc.
6. The fight in the stance and lying with the action of the legs, grip below the waist and painful techniques.
The types of wrestling of this group are distinguished by the fact that it is allowed to apply techniques from any grabs (exceptions: for the groin, ears, Adam's apple, hair). Retention on the back and the use of painful techniques on arms and legs are allowed. Only strokes and strangulation are prohibited. Pain techniques are needed to force the enemy to surrender. An example is sambo.
7. Types of struggle in the stance and stalls with legs, grip below the waist, techniques of pain and asphyxiation.
This group allows the use of techniques in the rack and lying with any grips (exceptions: for the groin, ears, Adam's apple, hair), it is allowed to hold on the back and painful techniques on the arms and legs. Asphyxiation on the opponent’s neck is also permitted. Only hits are prohibited. An example is the judo fight.
