What is the psychology of leadership and what is its role in the modern world

It seems to me that the psychology of leadership is laid down in us even in early childhood, and if many years ago our parents, and even more so grandparents, were taught, above all, to be restrained and modest, then today approaches to raising children have changed dramatically.

Social and political changes have also made adjustments to the lives of ordinary people. Along with completely new concepts, such as, say, competitiveness, a free market or private property, other views on parenting appeared. Now, leadership in psychology has also begun to be welcomed in large numbers, so all experts vyingly advise from an early age to instill a child with a sense of self-esteem and high self-esteem. That is how, in their opinion, you will educate a true leader who can confidently beat competitors, prove his case, achieve universal recognition, and, therefore, become a person of a new generation.

In principle, it can be said that leadership is psychology, as one of the manifestations of egocentrism. For some reason, I am almost completely sure that with the desire to lead and be in the spotlight, all children are born from the beginning. Those. each kid is already a potential leader, and then everything depends on upbringing, in which, of course, self-esteem and self-esteem, although they are the most important components of an emotional mood, but at the same time they should not drown out sound self-criticism and a constant desire to improve.

Perhaps the psychology of leadership is something that should be cultivated in the subconscious from a very young age. Why do I think so? Charismatic, with the makings of a leader, people grow out only of those kids who, from childhood, were praised for success, supported at times of failure, trusted and allowed to practice new knowledge and skills, encouraging in every possible way to meet obstacles. It is no secret that the first important defeats and victories of the little man occur precisely in the walls of the house. At home, we learn to arouse admiration, gain the ability to persuade, accept defeat, or confront failure. We adopt a lot of qualities and character traits from our parents' homes. If every child, even the most minor incident, is dramatized in the childโ€™s family, then such a person will grow up being overly anxious and unsure of himself.

Want to increase your chances of becoming a leader? Learn to accept yourself and your associates different: both the defeated, and the winners, and the weak, and strong. Enjoying victories is always a pleasure, but this is certainly not enough, you need to master the task more difficult: learn how to lose, and do it with dignity, without experiencing any tragedy or failure.

How to recognize the leader among us?

โ€œWell, itโ€™s not at all difficult!โ€ You say, and I cannot disagree with you. The psychology of leadership is able to attract to itself. Such charismatic people can always be distinguished in the crowd: they are cheerful and active, it is in their heads that the most seemingly crazy ideas come, and it is they who take the main role in the implementation of the plan.

The psychology of leadership gives the following definition. Such a person, as a rule, has the following character traits:

  • able to play a trick on his own shortcomings;
  • maximizes the benefits of failure;
  • Does not take someone else's criticism to heart;
  • constantly develops its strengths ;
  • confidently communicates with people of different ages;
  • carries with him;
  • knows how to show off talent at the right time.

And finally, I would like to note the following. From early childhood, a person chooses his own priorities. And you do not need to blame yourself for, for example, that it is difficult for you to make a report to the public. You may not be a leader in oratory, but you are excellent at drawing or carving wood. You just need to learn how to prioritize. Think and decide, but in principle, what is more important for you: fame or peace. Have you chosen? Then act!
