Danny Ward is a Welsh young goalkeeper who is not the main goalkeeper of the Wales team, but may well become one in the near future. So far, he is quite young by football standards, and especially by the standards of goalkeepers, who flourish mainly after 26 years, unlike field players, whose professional maturation occurs earlier. Danny Ward for a long time could not get playing practice, although he had already been on lease more than once.
Carier start
Danny Ward was born on June 22, 1993 in Wales, in the city of Wrexham, he began his football career in the club of the same name. At fourteen, he enrolled in the Rexema Football Academy and until 2011 he played for youth teams at various levels, until at 18 he received a professional contract. Immediately after that, he was sent for a month to the Tamworth Club, who also played in the fifth English division, but there he appeared on the field only once. After that, for almost a whole year, Ward was in the Wrexham reserve, but in January 2012, one of the strongest clubs in England, Liverpool, suddenly bought it for 125 thousand euros.
Go to Liverpool and rent

In Liverpool, Danny Ward, of course, did not expect that he would immediately be given a seat at the base or even on the bench. The 18-year-old footballer, however, immediately ended up in the clubβs double, where he began to play on an ongoing basis. He soon received a call to an adult team, but remained on the bench. The next challenge took place only in 2014, but even then Ward could not debut for the main team. As a result, in March 2015, the young goalkeeper was sent for rent to the English club Morkam, but stayed there only a month, having appeared on the field five times. Until the end of the season, the bench and the double goal were what Danny Ward was honored with at Liverpool. The goalkeeper, naturally, wanted a game practice, so in the summer of 2015 he was sent for rent for six months to the Scottish Aberdeen, where he entered the field in 29 matches and showed a very reliable game. The second half of the season, Danny spent in Liverpool, but was much more often called up to the main team, and also spent two matches at the base. In the summer of 2016, Danny Ward, a football player who began to progress much faster than before, was sent on loan to Huddersfield, playing in the Championship, where he immediately became the main goalkeeper and has already played 12 games, having missed only ten goals
Team appearances
In his youth, Ward spent many matches for the youth teams of Wales in various age categories. For the first time he was called up to the adult team in November 2014, but then remained on the bench, as in the next seven matches. Only in March 2016, Ward came out during the break of a friendly match against the Northern Ireland national team to replace Wayne Hennessey instead. In the last match before the 2016 European Championships, Ward also came on as a substitute during the break, but in the first match of the Welshmen directly at the European Championships, Ward made his debut in the starting lineup. He missed just one goal from the Slovaks, thanks to which the Welsh were able to win 2: 1. All other matches of the tournament Ward spent on the bench.
