Geography
The location of the peninsula is the eastern part of China (the shore of the Yellow Sea). The northern border is the mouth of the river. Xiaoqinghe near the city of Shouguan, south - the wall of the ancient kingdom of Qi and the Yishan Range. In a narrow sense, the border of the peninsula is the Jiaolaihe River. The land area east of it is called the Jiaodong Peninsula. The western part has no clear natural boundaries. Therefore, the territories of the peninsula are usually considered the urban districts of Weifang, Weihai, Yantai, Rizhao and Qingdao.
The Shandong Peninsula is surrounded by the sea on three sides. In the northern part, by the waters of the Gulf of Bohai, it is separated from Liaodong, and in the eastern part by the Yellow Sea it is separated from the Korean Peninsula. Geologically, it consists of granite of ancient and metamorphic rocks, and is also covered with a small layer of sedimentary rocks from the Holocene period (approximately 11,700 years have passed since the formation of the deposits). Minerals: iron ore (in abundance), gold and magnesite.
The relief is hilly with an altitude of 180 meters. The highest point of the peninsula is located on Laoshan Mountain (1132 meters).
Economic condition
Shrimp, croaker, saber fish and herring are found on the coast near the Andunsky peninsula. The beaches of the sea, flooded during high tides with sea waters, are a great place for the breeding of mollusks.
Cereals grow on the plains of the peninsula, and apple trees, pears, grapes and much more grow on higher ground in the southern part of the territory. The peninsula is rich, as noted above, with minerals: there are deposits of gold, magnesite and iron ore.
The best ports of China are located on rocky rugged shores. The main one is located in the southeastern part of the peninsula, as well as the industrial center of Qingdao, where electronics, pharmaceuticals, oil products and mechanical engineering are produced. In the north, in Yantai, they produce textiles, food products, construction equipment, electronics, etc.

In some sections of the slopes, oak forests and bushes grow. A coal deposit has been discovered in these places.
