The Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery is an oil refinery in the Rostov Region, located northwest of the city of Novoshakhtinsk. The young company, founded in 2005, belongs to the class of mini-refineries. The list of products includes marine, diesel and heating oil, fuel oil, gasoline.
Creature
With a decrease in the share of coal in the fuel sector and the phased transition of a number of metallurgical and other sectors to electricity, the production of solid hydrocarbons is everywhere reduced. Miners and employees of service organizations became hostages of the situation: layoffs and lower incomes were a serious problem for coal mining regions. In 2004, the regional administration of the Rostov region adopted a resolution on the priority development of the Russian part of Donbass.
One of the promising projects that made it possible to employ almost 2,000 people (excluding service companies) was the construction of the Novoshakhtinsky refinery. Construction work on the construction of the first phase began at the end of 2004. By October 2009, the main work was completed, and the refinery began processing oil products.
Modernization
As part of the expansion of the range of oil products in 2014, the production of high quality road bitumen was launched. The new workshop at the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery is able to supply customers with 700,000 tons of products annually. The characteristics of Rostov bitumen can significantly extend the life of the asphalt pavement.
In 2015, the phased commissioning of the second stage of the Novoshakhtinsky refinery began. The new oil distillation unit of the ELOU-AVT series has a capacity of 2,500,000 tons of oil annually. After its commissioning, the capacity of oil refineries doubled - up to 5,000,000 tons.
Transport service
The company does not have its own developed sales network, therefore, the speed of servicing partners purchasing petroleum products for sale is important. A railway line and a road with high-quality coating have been brought to the plant. In order to expand the geography of transportation of finished products, a cargo terminal was built on the Don. It allows servicing a tanker with a carrying capacity of 5000 tons of the "river / sea" class.
Most of the oil comes from the trunk pipeline in the Rodionovskaya-Sukhodolnaya section, operated by Transneft. Hydrocarbons can also be delivered in tanks by rail .
Production
The Novoshakhtinsky refinery was commissioned in the second half of 2009. In the same year, the NNPZ refined 464,000 tons of oil, in 2010, the output reached 1,910,000 tons. The company produces mainly fuel oil (38% in the structure of oil products production in 2010), diesel fuel (25%) and naphtha (21%).
Another 12% accounted for various minor petroleum products. Among them, the most common are heating and marine fuels, which in their characteristics are close to diesel fuel, but differ from it in high sulfur content. Technological export fuel and vacuum gas oil are also produced. The number of employees exceeds 1,500.
Products
NNPZ offers its partners the following oil products:
- Industrial gasoline.
- Naftu (straight run export gasoline).
- Diesel fuel of class L-0.2-62 / 40.
- Marine fuel of three types: DMA (DMA), BCF (RMG 380) and RMF (RMF 180).
- Fuel oil ash series 40 and 100.
- Oven fuel.
Logistics
The Novoshakhtinsky refinery sells almost all of the produced fuel oil in the domestic market. Diesel fuel, heating oil and SMT produced at mini-refineries are in demand in the domestic market due to the flexible pricing policy of the enterprise. In contrast to vertically integrated oil companies (large associations), a small enterprise responds faster to changes in the spot market conditions for Russian oil products.
An important sales factor is pricing. Many industrial enterprises and agricultural producers still use outdated equipment for which the increased sulfur content in diesel fuel is not a problem. On the contrary, the price of fuel for such consumers is usually the most significant criterion. NNPZ offers products slightly cheaper than large companies, which is beneficial to everyone.
Growth problems
According to government requirements, all refineries were obliged to upgrade the capacity for the production of fuel, first Euro-4 standard, and by the end of 2015, Euro-5. However, not all companies found enough funds for large-scale reconstruction. Claims were also made to the Novoshakhtinsky oil refinery.
The management of the Novoshakhtinsky Oil Refinery assured that the work is progressing. A contract has been concluded with Chinese partners who are ready to finance the project. The administration plans to build the next stage to ensure oil refining depths of up to 95% and bring product quality to Euro-5 standards.
Ecology
At the planning stage of the enterprise, norms were laid down to radically reduce harmful emissions. The system of sewage treatment plants uses the latest technologies to capture and neutralize hazardous substances that inevitably form at chemical enterprises.
The treatment plant consists of:
- Of the two recycling water treatment systems.
- Filtration zones.
- Reagent water treatment site.
- Physical and mechanical cleaning site.
- Zones of flotation and ultraviolet disinfection.
- Sand trap device.
- Oil traps.
- Oil sludge processing plants.
Protective measures are designed to exclude contamination of the waters and soils of the region.
