Man is not a computer, not a robot, not a machine. Unlike them, he is an emotional nature. He is characterized by emotional experiences. Attitude affects the inner world, and perception of the surrounding reality also depends on it. According to psychologists, the way we work, act, is affected by our emotional state.

What areas of life and activity are affected by human emotions? To understand this issue, you must first deal with the types of emotions.

The basis of the occurrence is mood. A kind of mood is a mood, which, in turn, can be conscious and unconscious.

Varieties of mood:

  1. Positive - creates a positive attitude, favorably affects activities.
  2. Negative - negatively affects, slows down the work.
  3. Neutral - is rare, manifests itself in the form of apathy.

In addition, the most common human emotions such as stress, affect, frustration.

Stress is a long process in which the psyche is in a state of stress due to certain life situations.

Affect is an emotional experience that arose as a response of the organism to some negative episode. It is inferior to stress in duration.

Frustration is the accumulated baggage of emotions, after experiencing problems, failures, etc., which can drive a person into depression.

Feelings and emotions of a person can be divided into categories:

- altruistic - these are feelings, feelings that arise when you want to provide some help, to help in something;

- communicative - these emotions arise when the need for communication;

- Gloric - arising from the need and desire for fame, for self-affirmation;

- practical - this is the desire for success, overcoming difficulties;

- romantic - the pursuit of the unusual, the expectation of a miracle, "soaring in the clouds";

- Gnostic - the desire for harmony in everything, the desire to overcome the contradictions that have arisen;

- aesthetic - is the need for beauty;

- hedonic - the desire for a comfortable existence, both spiritual and physical;

- Akizivnye - this is the desire for accumulation;

- mobilization - is the desire to overcome various barriers, passion, excitement.

Using emotional phenomena correctly, you can manage your own communication, directing it in a direction that is beneficial for yourself. But are all emotions useful and necessary? Everything! Even the negative ones. Even failure can be helpful. It is an impetus for self-improvement. After all, when everything is going well and measuredly, there are no thoughts and desires to change anything.

What is the role of emotions in human life?

This question can be answered in general terms by analyzing those functions that are inherent in one or another emotion. So, the main functions:

- communicative;

- motivational;

- regulatory;

- signal;

- safety.

So, a person’s emotions are his spiritual life, filled with emotions, the most diverse, which are constantly replacing each other. They represent a subjective assessment of certain events, the significance of what is happening around, expressed in the form of experiences. With the help of emotions, a person intuitively navigates the world that surrounds him.

Emotions are characterized by a quantitative characteristic called intensity.

Intensity, in turn, is determined by two factors:

- the degree of dissatisfaction with a particular need;

- the degree of surprise that directly affects satisfaction.

Duration is a temporary characteristic of emotions.

From a theoretical point of view, a huge variety of emotions can be distinguished. In this case, the emotional warehouse of each person is individual. Against this background, emotional personality types are distinguished .
