The poet Boris of Kherson was born into a family of doctors. Our hero’s grandfather, Robert Aronovich, is one of the founders of child psychoneurology in Odessa. Kherson Boris spent his childhood in Starobelsk. His parents got there by distribution. He became a student at the Ivano-Frankivsk Medical Institute. Later he changed his university - transferred to the

Institute. He received the post of neuropsychiatrist in the Ovidiopol district. He was a psychiatrist and psychologist at the Odessa Regional Psychiatric Hospital. At the time of perestroika, Khersonsky Boris G. worked in one of the city newspapers. Collaborated with various emigrant media. Since 1996 he has been working at the Department of Psychology at Odessa National University. From 1999 to 2015, the activity of our hero was also purely scientific. In the early nineties, books began to be published, unofficially, but without prohibitions. The appearance of works in the emigrant Russian-language press occurred in the second half of the eighties. The first book, which was published legally, was published in 1993 and is called the Eighth Share. Then came “Beyond the Fence”, “Family Archive”, Post Printum, “There and Then”, “Scroll”, “Draw the Little Man”, “Verbs of the Past Tense”. Our hero also published transcriptions of biblical texts, collecting them in the Book of Praises and a collection entitled Poetry at the Crossroads of the Two Testaments. Psalms and odes of Solomon. We can assume that the most significant work of our hero is the “Family Archive”. In this book, from the biographical poems, essays, the canvas of life, as well as the disappearance of Jews in southern Ukraine in the twentieth century, is formed. The Samizdat book appeared in 1995 in Odessa. By 2006, “Family Archive” is the first collection of our hero, published in Russia. This work was published by the New Literary Review, including it in the series Poetry of the Russian Diaspora.
"Building Site" is the second full-fledged book of our hero. She also appeared in the above mentioned publishing house in 2008. “Out of the Fence” - a collection of essays and poems, which appeared in 2008. It was published by the publishing house “Science” in the series “Russian Gulliver”. In 2009, a book entitled “Marble Leaf” was published. It included poems that were written in the fall of 2008 in Italy. The Spirituals book soon appeared. In 2010, the UFO publishing house published the work “Until It Got Dark”, the preface to it was written by Irina Rodnyanskaya. In 2012, the book “Still Someone” was published. This work was published by the Spadshchina-Integral publishing house and consisted of poems.

Kherson Boris consistently acts as a supporter of Ukrainian independence. He is an opponent of pressure on the country from Russia. The author claims that because of this he was subjected to hostility, as well as bullying during the Orange Revolution. He also noted that in 2014 and 2015 several times he was threatened with reprisal. According to the poet, he would have left Odessa if the city had been occupied. On the day when our hero made the above statement, there was a terrorist attack near his house.

Boris Khersonsky is a laureate of the fourth and fifth Voloshinsky competition, as well as a diplomat of the seventh and eighth. He was awarded at the festival “Kiev Laurels”. Boris Khersonsky received a special award “Moscow Account”. Our hero is a laureate of a scholarship to the I. Brodsky Foundation. Received an award from the magazine "New World".
