Station "Novokosino" is a shallow station of a single vault type. She has one island platform. An interesting feature of it is that it is the easternmost of all the Moscow metro stations. However, soon this status will transfer to the new Nekrasovka station (refers to the Nekrasovskaya line), which is still under construction.

Station history

The history of the Novokosino metro station begins in 2007, when a government decree was issued regarding plans for the further construction of the Moscow Metro for 2008-2010. The station was supposed to be opened in 2010, and design work was planned for the 1st quarter of 2008. Then, the commissioning dates began to shift. First, in 2011, and then (November 17, 2009), an official statement was issued on postponing the opening of the station to 2012. 09/18/2010 then mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov said that the opening will take place somewhere in the middle of 2012. It happened.

Methods and dates of construction

Construction work was carried out from the fall of 2009, and from the first to the fifth months of 2011 there was a relative break. This is due to the fact that the landing zone was constructed using the open method using monolithic reinforced concrete. At the same time, tunnels were laid underground, for which a mechanical tunnel complex was used.

The station was opened on August 30, 2012, but the first experimental staff proceeded to it on the 23rd of this month.

Station decoration

The Novokosino metro station is designed according to a project developed in 2010 by domestic architects. The design style is modern or even futuristic. By the nature of the design, the station is single-vaulted and shallow. The platform has an island appearance and a length of 163 meters. The distance between the tracks is 14.9 meters.

Resistant materials were used to finish the station: granite, stainless steel, ceramic plates, glass, aluminum.

The station has created conditions for the movement of persons with disabilities. For the first time in the history of the Moscow metro, the arrival-departure of trains is reported via a loudspeaker.

The platform zone looks like a vaulted structure. This gives her a more majestic and solemn appearance. The vault is illuminated by pendant lights. Their light is enough to create general lighting. The prevailing color tones in both lighting and materials are silver, gray, white.

Lobbies

The station has two underground vestibules: east and west. Through underground passages they are connected to glass pavilions. There are elevators. For facing walls of passages and underground pavilions, slabs of ceramic granite held on a metal frame were used. The slabs in the western lobby are gray and light green in color, and in the east - ocher-orange with gray patches.
