As you know, one of the world's largest suppliers of oil and gas is Russia. In the country there are a large number of deposits.
North Russian block
It includes deposits located in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area. Among them are such deposits as Dorogovskoye, Vostochno-Tazovskoye, and Severo-Russkoye. Their total reserve is 76.7 billion cubic meters. gas and 5 million tons of gas condensate.
Operator
The extraction of raw materials in this territory is carried out by Novatek. In 2016, the total volume of gas received (including at other fields) amounted to 66.1 billion m 3 . Currently, the company is replenishing its resource base. For this, Novatek acquires new licenses.
In 2016, the company significantly expanded its resource base on the Gydan Peninsula. Here she received 4 new sites: North Tanamsky, Tanamsky, Nyavuyahsky, West Solpatinsky.
The announced production volume in the North Russian block is slightly less than analysts expected. The overall level of Novatekβs production will increase, but the growth rate will depend on the intensity of field development, including new ones.
Russian oil and gas field
It is located 585 km from Salekhard in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The Russkoye field is confined to the local eponymous uplift of the Pur-Taz region in the West Siberian oil and gas province.
It is located in a distributed resource fund and is considered large. According to the level of industrial development, the Russkoye field is classified as prospected.
Characteristic
The Russkoye deposit was discovered by Glavtyumengeologia with well No. 11 in 1968. The uplift has an isohypsum contour (a line consisting of points having the same height above sea level or another predetermined level), the area is 525 square meters. km
Within the Russkoye field , 6 gas-oil and 1 gas reservoir-vaulted and tectanically-shielded deposits were discovered. Sandstones with lenticular clay interlayers act as collectors.
Indicators
The volume of geological reserves of the Russkoye field is 1.5 billion tons, recoverable - 410 million tons.
The deposits are located at a depth of 80-90 meters. The oil has a density of 0.94 g / cu. see. Height of deposits - from 20 to 240 meters.
Initial reservoir pressures are in the range of 7β9.1 MPa, temperatures - 12β22 degrees.
Oil refers to aromatic-naphthenic type. Paraffin content - 0.7-1.2%, asphaltenes - 05-1%, resins - 10-12%, sulfur - up to 0.3%.
Difficulties
The Russian field remained undeveloped for quite some time - for more than 35 years. The development of the territory is complicated by several factors. First of all, it is a complex geological section, lack of necessary infrastructure, severe climatic conditions (the basin is located in the Arctic). In addition, the production of oil is complicated by a high viscosity index.
Massive vaulted reservoir deposits show tectonic disturbances.
Prospects
Meanwhile, the Russian field is considered one of the largest in the country. By the end of 2017, in accordance with the updated project, the first phase of the oil and gas condensate field is planned to be put into commercial operation.
Diesel and jet fuels, petroleum coke, arctic low-sulfur low-viscosity oils and bitumen are produced from oil produced at the field.
To extract raw materials with such a viscosity index, the construction of an oil mixing unit is required for subsequent transportation through the main pipeline. This will increase production to about 20 million tons per year.
South Russian oil and gas condensate field
It is located in the Krasnoselkup district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. The Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field is also considered one of the largest.
The pool reserves are:
- Strip Cat. A + B + C1 - 825.2 billion cubic meters m, cat. C2 - 208.9 billion cubic meters. m
- Oil - 5.7 million tons.
Deposits are located at a depth of about 1 km.
Operator of the South Russian oil and gas condensate field
The license to develop the Yuzhno-Russkoye field is held by Severneftgazprom, a subsidiary of Gazprom.
The field was officially commissioned in 2007, December 18. However, in fact, direct mining was started at the end of October of that year.
The construction of infrastructure has been carried out since March 2006.
Production volume
It was assumed that the German company E.ON will participate in the development of the field, and it will become the main resource base for the North European gas pipeline.
In 2008, a production volume of 10 billion cubic meters was planned. m of gas with a gradual increase in the indicator (up to 25 billion in 2009 and so on).
The amount of investment in the development and development of the field for 2005-2008 amounted to 113 billion p. By 2013, 143 gas wells were drilled. By the end of 2015, the volume of accumulated production rose to 115 billion cubic meters. m
Technology
The Yuzhno-Russkoye deposit is considered one of the most equipped. It uses modern equipment, innovative engineering and technological solutions.
As part of the territory development project, a technology is being developed to develop hard-to-recover Turonian gas deposits. They are located at a depth of about 800-850 meters. The specificity of the reservoirs is the variability and heterogeneity of the lithological composition, as well as the low penetration of the reservoirs.
The gas that lies here is almost identical in composition to the Cenomanian. It also contains 99% methane and no heavy impurities.
It should be said that the implementation of the project for the development and development of Turonian gas deposits is a pilot not only for Gazprom, but also for Russia as a whole.
Environmental responsibility
OJSC Severneftegazprom pays great attention to environmental protection. Introducing modern technologies and using innovative equipment in the process of extraction of raw materials, the company carries out activities aimed at preventing environmental pollution, as well as minimizing the negative consequences from production activities.
In order to fulfill its obligations, OJSC Severneftegazprom first of all carefully monitors the technical condition of the used units and machines. In addition, the company is socially responsible and takes great care of the population living in the territory adjacent to the Yuzhno-Russkoye deposit. The company develops and implements large-scale investment programs aimed at creating and improving the infrastructure of districts; funds are also allocated to strengthen and increase the material and technical base of cultural, educational, and youth policy institutions.
One of the most important activities of the enterprise is to ensure employment. Employees involved in the development and development of the field are provided not only with constant high income, but also with state social guarantees.
Conclusion
Despite the fact that Russia is gradually reducing its dependence on the raw material base, existing and promising deposits bring significant revenue to the budget. At the same time, large amounts of money are required for their development. Especially significant are the costs of developing deposits located in adverse climatic conditions.
Project investment is carried out not only at the expense of direct operators - companies that have production licenses. Of no less importance is cooperation with foreign enterprises. Unfortunately, partnerships with foreign companies are currently very difficult. However, despite this, domestic deposits do not lose their investment attractiveness for foreign partners.
