There can be many answers to this question. Someone will say that you need to get a legal education, others - that one education is not enough. The position of judge is not easy, but possible.
Regarding legal education, it is important that the degree is higher than the bachelor's degree. Do not, however, hope that after a good graduation from a higher education institution you will occupy such a high position. First you need to work on a specialty more than five years. It should be remembered that judges are different, for each position their own requirements are put forward. So, before you become a judge of a district scale, you need to work five years, but to work in a regional court it will take 7 years.
The experience also has its own nuances. A lawyer who works in a law office cannot take such a post. But the assistant judge or prosecutor is more likely to get a similar position more quickly, since such work is most optimal for the length of service.
A person who wants to become a judge must also remember that the candidate will have to pass a difficult qualification exam. In order to take it, you must not only meet all the requirements, but also collect all the necessary documents. Their package includes a diploma (original), passport, work book, medical certificate of health status and other papers. As for health, there is a whole list of diseases, having which, a person ceases to apply for a judge.
When the documents are submitted, the question of how to become a judge no longer seems so insoluble. The main thing is to gather strength and do everything for the successful passing of the exam. Even more important is to receive an invitation, which can be expected for quite some time. This is because today there are a very large number of applicants, and on the appointed day only 5 or 6 people are accepted. As a rule, the examination committee consists of 12 people. The applicant must correctly and clearly answer the questions posed. If at least one answer is incorrect, the exam is considered failed. Interestingly, during the test, you can use any regulatory documents. It will be more difficult to deal precisely with theoretical issues in which they can “find fault” with any trifles.

If the exam is passed successfully, there is an option that you will take the desired position.
