Resources of the enterprise are the funds that are available and ensure the implementation of its activities. They are used to achieve their goals and realize strategic objectives.
Scientists have developed several classifications. According to the most common of them, enterprise resources are divided into several large categories:
- material
- informational
- organizational
- human.
Consider these groups in more detail.
The material and material resources of an enterprise are those sources that are necessary in order to solve economic problems. In this case, their main will be quantitative and qualitative characteristics. Moreover, it must be borne in mind that the resources of the enterprise as part of nature, capital and labor are defined as primary, which are independent of each other.
The problem is that they are quite limited. That is why an entrepreneur needs to constantly develop his business, increasing the volume and composition of products. This requires mandatory attraction of additional material resources. The main ones are the following:
- Natural (natural), which are expressed in the form of land and water, air basin, minerals, flora and fauna, forests.
- Economic resources of the enterprise belonging to this entity, which are presented in monetary terms (domestic and foreign currency). They are classified not only by the direction of investment, but also by the sources of their formation. The most important internal reserves of financial resources are depreciation and profit.
- Capital funds - a real form of real estate, as well as property equivalent to such (equipment, technology).
- Material resources of the enterprise include production items, basic and additional materials, raw materials, fuel, semi-finished products, construction in progress, spare parts, production waste, packaging, etc.
The next group is scientific and informational means , which are expressed in the presence of information about humanity, the market situation, the state of the economy, legislation and other things at the head, his assistants and employees.
The second content of this group is a set of data that is properly organized in order to receive reliable information. They include both individual documents and a system of documents in existing departments: archives, libraries, data banks, funds, and so on.
The human resources of the enterprise are personal. In this perspective, the following groups are most important.
First of all, labor resources. It is a part of the population capable of work, which has intellectual and physical capabilities for professional activity and produces material wealth (provides services). This group characterizes the number of people who are able to work.
Secondly, the personal characteristics of the entrepreneur, which reflect his capabilities on the basis of experience and knowledge.
The fourth group, the organizational resources of the enterprise, includes the ability to mobilize the internal capabilities of the organization. In some cases, external forces will be required.
Optimal management of resources will allow the manager to take such actions that, after a certain period of time, will lead to the appearance of opportunities in generating income and developing the enterprise. Therefore, the right approach to this procedure will ensure effective growth for the long term.
