Chicken droppings: use as fertilizer

Chicken manure in its composition and nutrient content is 3-4 times richer than cow. In addition, it has a very long-term effect. Once introduced into the beds, this type of manure continues its β€œwork” of about 2 to 3 years. However, the use of chicken manure to increase productivity differs in its nuances. Consider how to fertilize the beds with them correctly.

chicken droppings application
The best and most common way for gardeners is to use not dry but diluted litter. The fact is that the fertilizer is very strong and if the doses are exceeded, as well as when used fresh, it can harm the plants. Simply put, they can be burned. Chicken droppings, the use of which is desirable in a diluted and slightly decomposed form, are poured into the barrel so that its volume is not more than a third full.

Then they wait about 4 days, occasionally stirring the slurry. It is best to cover the container with plastic wrap. This will reduce nitrogen loss and rid the area of bad smell. Further, chicken manure prepared in such a way, the use of which is allowed in not too large doses, is collected in a bucket and diluted with water about 1 to 4. The color of the resulting mixture should be similar to the color of tea. In the beds, it is introduced at the rate of one and a half liters per 1 square. square meter. After this procedure, the soil must be shed immediately with plenty of water.

use of chicken droppings
Chicken droppings, the use of which for feeding plants is desirable twice a year, is a fertilizer that almost instantly causes the rapid development of plants, their flowering and fruiting. The first results can be seen in about 2 weeks. However, it must be used strictly in the above doses. The fact is that the nitrogen in its composition, which is in the form of uric acid, is able to inhibit the growth of young plants and seedlings. Moreover, decomposing, it is gradually converted into ammonium carbonate, an excess of which can lead to the accumulation of nitrates in vegetables.

Especially useful is chicken litter for strawberries. In this case, it is best to make it before the first leaves appear. At later dates of feeding, they should be done as carefully as possible, so as not to fill the bushes completely.

If this happens, they may die.

Chicken droppings, the use of which is allowed only in a rotted form, can be prepared in another way - by composting. To do this, a 30-centimeter layer of peat is poured onto the ground. This is followed by a layer of litter, then again peat, etc. To prevent odors, the resulting pile is covered with polyethylene and covered with earth. After about 1.5 months, the resulting compost will be ready for use.

This type of organic fertilizer can be fed not only herbaceous plants, but also fruit trees. To do this, use a solution of fresh or composted chicken manure at the rate of one part per ten parts of water. It is left to infuse for 2 to 3 days, and then the trunk circle is watered, adding about 8 to 10 liters per 1 m2. It is necessary to do such feeding in the beginning or in the middle of summer.
