Nothing excites the blood of an avid buyer so much as discounts, sales and the department of discounted goods. We rush headlong into the shops, only seeing the coveted word SALE. It somehow magically affects us, and we sweep away from the shelves everything that is necessary and unnecessary. However, when the adrenaline drops a little, and we begin to soberly evaluate our purchases, it turns out that the βsaleβ escape at the supermarket cost us a pretty penny, and things were put into the basket, the quality and serviceability of which we did not even check. What to do? How to return what was bought at the sale and at a big discount? Can I ask the seller to replace a thing if a discounted item was purchased? Let's try to figure everything out in order.

A discounted product can be considered as such if, due to a decrease in demand or the end of a season for it, the seller decides to reduce its value. In principle, a markdown is the same discount that the seller is entitled to make at his discretion. Many buyers mistakenly believe that the sale of discounted goods occurs when they have a defect or some kind of malfunction. Yes, this is quite possible, but when selling such things, the seller must notify the buyer. Or, this information should be fully reflected on the label or price tag of the product, so that someone who is too low-priced can adequately assess the situation and decide whether to buy discounted goods or not.

So, the buyer must know that in respect of those things that have been discounted, the same rights apply as in respect of goods of standard value. These include: the right to warranty service, to return the goods and to exchange it. This applies to those things that were sold in proper quality and were simply put up for sale.
In the case when the markdown was made by the seller due to the fact that the goods have known defects or malfunctions, and this was reported to the buyer in writing, these rights are slightly limited. However, if you want to return the item due to a marriage not specified at the time of purchase, no one can refuse this. In such a situation, you can demand a refund or exchange of goods for a similar one.
Also, the buyer can return or exchange for any other non-food items within fourteen days from the date of purchase. At the same time, the reason for returning a discounted product can be anything: you may not like the color to the interior or you just realized that you purchased this thing purely by accident. It must be remembered that the seller has the right to refuse your requirements if:
- The product has been in use for a long period of time.
- The product has lost its appearance and can no longer be displayed on the window.
- The product has lost its consumer properties and has lost its functionality.
- The product has been sealed or branded labels are damaged.
- As well as goods from the list indicated in official documents, which include complex electrical devices, underwear, hygiene products and medicines, furniture, jewelry and more.
