Sunflower oil is a product that has a high national economic importance, is known all over the world and is used in any kitchen. Its use is possible in many areas of human life - in addition to cooking, oil is used in the soap industry, the manufacture of paints and varnishes, as well as an effective cosmetic product and even as a medicine.

vegetable oil is presented in three types:
- refined undeodorized is a product with a characteristic odor and color;
- refined deodorized - pale yellow oil, transparent, without a specific smell and taste of sunflower;
- unrefined oil, which has a dark shade, sediment and a pronounced smell of seeds.
Composition and calorie content
As for the composition of the plant product, the amount of nutrients contained in it varies depending on the varieties of sunflowers, the zone of their growth and methods of processing seeds. But, regardless of the factors listed, it contains a large amount of vitamin E, also contains vitamin A and vitamins of groups B, D. The most valuable in vegetable oil are, of course, fatty acids. In addition, vegetable oil contains all the substances necessary for the development of the body: carbohydrates, proteins, lecithin, phytin, tannins, various minerals and inulin.
But there is a second side to the coin - sunflower oil, whose caloric content averages 899 kcal per 100 grams, is contraindicated in obese. The use of a herbal product in the treatment of the gastrointestinal tract is also not recommended, which can lead to a severe exacerbation. The largest producers of sunflower oil in Russia, producing a huge amount of vegetable product, have been actively developing since 2001. To date, they have already conquered the domestic market. The number of enterprises specializing in the processing of sunflower seeds into oil is growing every year. Manufacturers of oils "Oleina", "Ideal", "Rossiyanka", "South of Russia", producing sunflower oil, the average calorie content of which is 899 kcal, are considered popular. At the moment, the main and most powerful producer of this herbal product in the domestic market is the Zlato company, which produces high-quality and healthy sunflower oil. The caloric content of the product of this brand has a certain deviation from the norm and amounts to 900 kcal. Also, there are products whose fat content is less than the average value. An example was the Russian producer Sloboda, which sells less caloric sunflower oil. Its calorie content is 898 kcal per 100 grams.
Sunflower oil production technology
There are two ways to get a plant product:
1. Pressing. It is a mechanical extraction of oil from crushed raw materials. This method can be either hot - with pre-heating of the seeds, or cold - without heat treatment. Cold-pressed oil has useful qualities, has a characteristic smell of sunflower and has a short shelf life.
2. Extraction. it squeezing oil from seeds using organic solvents. The second method is the most common due to its economy. It allows you to maximize the desired plant product from raw materials.
