For centuries, the Premier League of English football has been famous for playing and playing many good and reliable goalkeepers. At the same time, as in any other business, there are always just masters, but there are real magicians who are sometimes able to create a real miracle. If we talk about football, then one of such talented goalkeepers, acting stably and reliably for many years, is Petr Cech, whose biography will be considered in this article.
Birth
The future world football star was born in a rather small and quiet town of Czechoslovakia called Pilsen. It happened on May 20, 1982. Amazingly, as a child, Peter Cech did not at all think of becoming a football player. Initially, his passion was hockey, and Dominic Hasek was the idol for our hero .
In principle, everything could have happened so that today we would have been rooting for the goalkeeper of the hockey team, not football, but, as always, in life everything is decided by chance.
Going for football
Unfortunately for Peter, and to the great joy of his fans today, hockey ammunition is a rather expensive pleasure, and therefore he had to worry about hockey and focus on football. What else I would like to note is that initially Peter Cech played in the position of the left striker. Such information was provided in due time by the manager of the Victoria football club. The athlete became a goalkeeper by accident.
Performances
Until the age of sixteen, Peter Cech played in Victoria, the team of his hometown. However, in 1999, he brilliantly performed at one of the regularly held youth tournaments in the capital of Holland, so he ended up in a team called Hops.
After some time, the goalkeeper was sold to the legendary Sparta. The transfer amount amounted to 700,000 thousand euros. It was in this club that the gifted goalkeeper was able to set a country record for keeping the goal intact - 855 minutes. The appearances in the Champions League were also quite successful and โdryโ for him.
In 2002, Peter Cech ended up at Rennes. And they sold it for a pretty tidy sum - 5 million euros. The young goalkeeper in many ways contributed to the fact that a rather mediocre club from France was able to remain in the top division of their country and even reach the semifinal stage of the national Cup.
Team Games
The debut in the national team for the Czech came in February 2002. It was a game against Cyprus. A little later, the goalkeeper simply brilliantly managed to prove himself at the European Youth Championship in 2002, where the Czech team was extremely unexpected for many fans to be the first on the continent. The qualification of 2004 showed the whole world that a true master of his craft stood at the gates of the Czechs. The national team entered the ozone stage, taking first place in the group and bypassing the Dutch at the same time. Directly during the final draw, the Czechs got into the semifinals, where the goalkeeper in five games did not miss a single goal, so he ended up in the symbolic team of the entire tournament.
Life in England
It was after Euro 2004 that Peter Cech ended up at London's Chelsea. The club of Roman Abramovich was able to get ahead of all competitors in the race for young talent. The footballer was bought for 10.3 million euros. The contract was signed for a five-year term. It should be said that the athlete did not immediately become the main goalkeeper in a new club for himself. At that time, the main guard of the gate was Carlo Cudicini, who was considered the best goalkeeper of the Premier League. However, the Italian made some pretty serious mistakes. As a result, Cech was at the gate for a long time and seriously.

In 2005, Peter was able to maintain his goal for 1025 minutes, which broke the record for his namesake Danes Schmeichel, who once defended the colors of Manchester. By the way, Cech has almost two-meter growth, but this in no way prevents him from โfoldingโ to reflect low-flying balls. In addition, he is very confident, businesslike, plays in the penalty area, has excellent reaction and is able to help the team out at the right time.
In one of the matches, Petr Cech, whose photo is shown below, received a very serious head injury. After her, not only a career, but even the life of a goalkeeper was in jeopardy. But, fortunately for himself and all the fans, he was able to recover quite quickly and return to the game, demonstrating, as before, the high class of the game. In order to prevent such injuries in the future, the goalkeeper plays in a helmet specially designed for him, for which he received the nickname "Tanker".
In June 2015, the goalkeeper moved to the capital's Arsenal. For the Gunners, he plays this season. Without a doubt, it is safe to say that Petr Cech, whose photo (Arsenal) is fairly disseminated in the media, is one of the most talented goalkeepers of our time. His game is stable, for which he is appreciated not only by the leadership of the club and team, but also by fans.
