Sooner or later, any active user of a mobile device based on the Android operating system may be faced with the need to take a screenshot of a smartphone or tablet. For Asus mobile users, this operation is quite simple.
Standard methods
You can take a screenshot on Asus, like on other Android gadgets, using several options:
- use of external keys;
- use of touch keys and screen;
- through the application.
External keys
To take a screenshot, the standard keys of the device are used, namely their combinations: you need to simultaneously press and hold the power button and volume down button. Please note that this method is not available for models with an operating system lower than version 4.1. In addition, for some new phone models, the volume keys were moved under the rear camera, and it is now not particularly convenient to take a screenshot.
Touch keys and screen
Screenshots using the sensor are made in two ways:
- Using the quick menu. To do this, lower the upper curtain of the quick menu, select the icon on the far right, then click the quick settings option button, where to find the “Screenshot” item and tick it off.
Unfortunately, the ZenUI interface allows you to place only four icons here, so you have to give up something.
- Pressing the button "Recent Applications". By default, this brings up the menu for managing the current tab or program. To reassign it to a screenshot, you need to enter the "Asus Individual Settings" block by going to the phone’s settings menu. The topmost element of the section is called the “Button of the latest applications”, where it is necessary to mark the item “Press and hold to take a screenshot”.
Using these methods, making a screenshot on "Asus" is usually the easiest way, since the built-in functionality of the operating system is used. And owners of devices with a large amount of system memory should use them.
Screenshots through the application
For those users whose gadgets are equipped with a memory of not more than 8 GB (and such devices are still quite common), it is better to use one of the third-party applications that can be found in the Play Market. The fact is that only in the application can you configure the storage location for screenshots by changing it from the phone’s memory to an external card. And since the Android operating system is famous for its ability to "eat up" the main memory in a fairly short time, such an opportunity to save precious megabytes of free space will be clearly useful. Also, some of the applications allow you to both take a screenshot on "Asus Zenfon" and adjust the quality of the image, which also affects the occupied space.
