Derek Chisora ​​was born on December 29, 1983 in the city of Harare, Republic of Zimbabwe. Having reached sixteen, the young man moves with his family to the UK, where he begins to actively act as an amateur. In total, he spent about twenty fights in amateurs, while becoming the winner of the Four Nations tournament and the best boxer of the 119th national championship of England in 2005.

In 2007, Derek Chisora ​​becomes a professional. His first opponent was Istvan Kechekes, who at that time had a negative difference between victories and defeats. Young Chisora ​​won by knockout in the second round.

After a series of several victories, the young talent entered the fray for the British title. It happened on May 15, 2010. In that fight, the Zimbabwean knocked out Danny Williams, before knocking him down twice.

Oddly enough, Chisora ​​got the right to fight the then-current WBC world champion Vitali Klitschko after his second defeat from the Finn Robert Helenius. Many experts, after a duel between a naturalized Briton and a prospectus from Finland, believed that the judges simply robbed Derek. He did not deserve defeat.
