On July 7, 1975, in the city of Borodino, the future biathlete Olga Medvedtseva was born. Her family loved outings. At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Olga was touched by a doping scandal. The athlete was confident of victory when she won a silver medal in individual races at a distance of fifteen kilometers. Two days after the victory, the doctors announced the results of the doping tests.
They turned out to be positive. An increased content of phenotropil, a prohibited drug for these competitions, was found in the athlete's body. Repeated testing confirmed the presence of carphedon.
