One of the memorial graveyards of the city, Perlovskoye Cemetery, is located in the North-Eastern District of Moscow. Its area is 19 hectares, including 8 large tracts. Supervises the necropolis of the State Unitary Enterprise "Ritual".
History
The history of the cemetery began in 1932, when dead residents from nearby villages, Taininsky and Perlovsky, were buried on the banks of the Dzhamgarovsky pond . After a while, a small area was immediately allocated for Jewish burials.
When old cemeteries were demolished in the city center in Soviet times, the Moscow authorities gave permission to transfer Jewish graves to the territory of the graveyard. Over the years, the cemetery has grown and turned completely into a Jewish one, under which three of the eight existing sites are now allotted.
The cemetery has preserved a large number of tombstones and plates with six-pointed stars and inscriptions in Hebrew. Some of the monuments are real works of art, and most likely, they were transported from the old Moscow cemeteries.
But gradually, Orthodox crosses began to appear on the graveyard. At the main entrance of the arrivals, they are greeted by the richest and most luxurious burials, whole stone arbors with large statues and intricate decor.
In 1978, Perlovsky Pogost became one of the cemeteries of the city of Moscow.

Currently, due to lack of land, the necropolis is closed to new graves in coffins. At the cemetery, only related burial is available, which are free of charge, and the burial of urns with ashes in a columbarium.
There is an opportunity to purchase a site for family burial at the auction of the Moscow City Government Services Department.
A small chapel was built near the graveyard for the religious needs of visitors to the Perlovsky cemetery in honor of the righteous Joachim and Anna. There are funeral services for the deceased and memorial services.
The territory of the necropolis is in a comfortable condition and equipped with everything necessary for the convenience of visitors. The administration rents special equipment for grave care, and there is also a point where you can get water, garbage bags and sand.
All passages to the graves are paved, and the central paths are asphalted, which allows visiting burial places even in bad weather.
There are very few old and destroyed slabs left; they are gradually being restored or replaced with new monuments.
To relax in the alleys there are benches where you can sit in silence. Pogost has many plantations of trees and shrubs. Near the columbaria, landscaping was completed, benches and urns were set up. There is ample parking and a flower shop near the cemetery.
Burial places
Not far from the entrance there is a war memorial dedicated to the soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War.
Unfortunately, some graves were irretrievably lost. So, to the right of the entrance is a monument to the cadet Kudelkin, who died in 1943, but his burial is not there. It is known that he was buried here, and where exactly is unknown.
The grave of policeman M. Kolpakov, who died heroically during his execution in 1940, was lost without a trace somewhere in the first section.
There are graves in the necropolis, which are visited not only by relatives, but also by admirers. Connoisseurs of Soviet sports often come to a modest grave in the eighth section, where the goalkeeper of the Moscow Spartak, football player V. Zhmelkov, rests. And on the fifth plot, the actress M. Skvortsova found her refuge, starring in more than 40 films, including “Crew”, “Guest from the Future”, “White Bim Black Ear”.
