How to choose spaghetti for pasta?
There are no additives in the composition of real Italian spaghetti - this is the main principle. In Italy, they are made from wheat flour and water, not dried and immediately served on the table. Unfortunately, exporting such spaghetti is problematic. They quickly deteriorate, so they are dried and sold in our usual form, put up.
To distinguish good spaghetti from medium quality products, first pay attention to the integrity of the product in the package. Good spaghetti will not crumble and break, each individual pasta will be smooth and without cracks. The second thing worth looking at is color. The rich yellow color of spaghetti is not always a sign of their quality. Make sure there are no food coloring and eggs in the composition. Small blotches visible to the naked eye will be a clear sign that durum wheat flour was used to make spaghetti.
