Currently, the use of such devices as ventilation deflectors is increasingly common. They are important in modern households. These devices are special nozzles to enhance traction by using wind energy inside the ventilation system. At the same time, they protect the equipment from atmospheric precipitation and wind pressure, as well as from dust, leaves and other contaminants entering the system. Product Installation
This device is installed at the outlet of the ventilation shaft at a distance of 1.52–2.5 m from the height of the building ridge. It must comply with design calculations and drawings. There are also cases when it is possible to mount the specified device on a vertical riser or channel.

Ventilation deflectors are selected for a specific exhaust system based on special calculations, with the help of which they determine the type of the specified device, the place of its installation, as well as its dimensions and appearance. These calculations can be carried out independently, having certain skills, but it would be better to take the help of professionals in this matter, since a rotary ventilation deflector cannot be installed without preliminary calculations performed by a specialist. After all, the operation of the equipment may have the following features: or the process will be too productive, which is not very good, especially for residential buildings; or it will be ineffective, creating only an obstacle in the exhaust system.
Product Material
Ventilation deflectors are made of cold rolled or galvanized steel. To prevent corrosion damage and extend the operating life of the equipment, metal is coated with paints and varnishes. It can be a special enamel, primer, powder coating.
The connection may be flanged or nipple. With timely and quality service (cleaning from dirt and dust, updating the coating), these products can serve for decades.
Fixture Features
The main indicators characterizing ventilation deflectors are:
- diameter size;
- connection design (nipple, flange);
- wall thickness and height.
All sizes are calculated according to regulatory documents (GOST, SNiPu). For these calculations, the characteristics of the installation site (private or apartment buildings, shopping centers, sports halls) and operational characteristics (protection of exhaust equipment from atmospheric precipitation) are used.
