This drink can be attributed to the legendary and world famous. And not only in Brazil, where there are “many, many wild monkeys”! And around the world. "Brahma" - a beer highly respected by all lovers of foamy. Although it seems rather strange that it comes from this country, which hardly anyone associates with the most famous world brands. Of course, it has its own original culture, customs and traditions - and beer in itself is popular due to the fact that there is “terrible heat” on the street. And the Brahma beer - like, incidentally, dozens of other beer brands less known to us - is quoted by the regulars of the beaches and visitors of various eateries and restaurants.
Taste and Aroma
According to the unanimous opinion of some experts, the whole secret of taste in a touch of citrus. But the bitterness of the zest in the Brahma beer is completely absent, and it itself has a very mild aftertaste. And even the shiver in the production of this drink uses a special variety that is different from the so-called “European” microorganisms. Brazilians also use hops that are different from our usual ones. It saturates the Brahma beer with unique aromas of flowers. All this allows us to talk about the originality and authenticity of the foamy drink, allows it to rightfully be called the national Brazilian heritage.
Some characteristics
To do this, in order to globally appreciate the “pearl of Brazil", designers also came up with a special capacity. The beer bottle has a very original curved shape, the name of the drink is written on glass. This design speaks of the life credo of the indigenous people: "live easy, and do not obey the blows of fate." This Brazilian philosophy is called ginga, and it is fairly well known throughout the world.
Brahma is produced in containers of 0.5 and 0.33 liters. Beer composition: water, barley malt, maltose syrup, hops, sugar. The density is 11%, and the alcohol content is not less than 4.6. Color is characteristic. It is orangeish, with a hint of reddish. The same palette, by the way, is also characteristic of the environment of this Latin American republic.
Brahma beer: producer
For quite a long time, the brand did not leave the borders of its native country, although today it is known almost everywhere, entering the top ten most sold beer around the world - Old and New. It all began much more prosaically, in Rio, where Ostap Bender dreamed of visiting. It is here in the 19th century, at the end, that Brahma appears.
Joseph Willinger, a Swiss by birth, moves there for permanent residence. And soon the enterprising European realizes that you can’t drink local beer and drink it properly. Joseph decides to correct the situation and begins to cook it, as it is positioned: for himself and for acquaintances. The “European” foamy is loved in the area, and the Swiss expands their capacities by opening a brewery. Here in 1888 only 32 employees work, and production is 12,000 daily liters. Soon, a successful business was sold to another owner, and the new owner of the brand did not face the dirt. New capacities have been opened, and production is increasing to 6,000,000 per annum! All this time the drink is bottled in oak barrels, only in 1934 - bottling from glass begins. Today, Brahma is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev and is very popular all over the world.
