Taschemta - what does this word mean? Today it is quite popular in slang speech of modern youth and representatives of the rock subculture. Despite its popularity, “taschemta” is not included in the norm of the Russian literary language and in fact is even colloquial.
Origin of the word
Where did this strange linguistic phenomenon come from? The answer does not take long to look for itself - in the colloquial speech of those who are “in the subject,” the word came from the individual vocabulary of the famous Russian rock musician, founder and leader of the Soviet and Russian metal group Corrosion Metal, nicknamed Troitsky, nicknamed Spider. According to one of the many versions, the word arose as a result of the merger of words of different styles: colloquial "so-and-so" and the more literary combination "in general."
As a result of the so-called telescopic merging of words (when the beginning of one and the end of the other is taken - a rather rare and interesting way of word formation for the Russian language), the word "taschemta" is obtained, which means "generally", "generally", "so-and-so" . In general, it is quite abstract, it can also mean “for example”, “by chance”, etc.

Usually the word "taschemta" is used as an introductory construct or interjection. It can be used in unusual places between words, in those places of a sentence where to use the listed literary analogues would be a stylistic mistake.
