Tomato Moskvich is an excellent variety suitable for growing on open ground in almost any region of Russia. Perfectly adapted for the climate of the country, which does not require special techniques during cultivation, it is suitable for experienced amateur gardeners and beginners. Tomatoes can be successfully grown from seeds and seedlings.

Characteristic

Tomato Moskvich (photo in text) was launched in 1976. The work was carried out by the team of the Vavilov Institute of General Genetics. After several years of testing, it was included in the State Register. This variety is recommended for outdoor cultivation in the East Siberian, Volga-Vyatka, Central, Northern and North-Western regions.

Tomato Moskvich is a medium-sized, determinant, standard, small-sized plant:

  • dark green leaf, medium size, corrugated;
  • the inflorescence is short, compact, simple;
  • the fruit is smooth, rounded, slightly ribbed, weighing up to 75 grams.

The height of the bush does not exceed 50 cm. On the main stem 3-6 inflorescences develop. The first is laid up to 8 sheets, the next - after a couple of leaves. Taste good, tomato contains:

  • sugar - 3%;
  • dry matter - 6%.

Universal fruits, suitable for both fresh consumption and for harvesting for the winter.

The thickened planting is not terrible for this variety, while the yield is not reduced and can reach 440 kg / ha (marketable fruits).

Ripening of fruits occurs in 90-110 days from the time of sowing. Over 15 days of fruiting, on average, up to 30% of the total yield ripens. Fruits in early July to late August. By this time, 90% of the fruits have time to ripen. Better to finish harvesting before September 15th to avoid frost.

In the southern regions, seeds are immediately sown in the soil, after it is warmed to a depth of 6 cm to 12 0 . After 10 days, the seeds begin to germinate. Care like an ordinary tomato: weeding, pouring with warm water, loosening, top dressing.
