Just like Lermontov in Borodino's work entrusts the story to a soldier, Mayakovsky allows his father to answer a children's question.

The poem consists of quatrains, in each of them the word โ€œgoodโ€ and the word โ€œbadโ€ are used so that the young reader can understand the meaning. Oddly enough, but this does not cause a feeling of constant repetition. In fables one can often see morality, but sometimes it is difficult for an adult to understand it, and even more so for a child. Therefore, the author reveals morality through ordinary life situations. First in a poem, Mayakovsky shows what is good and what is bad, using the example of weather conditions. In the following quatrains, the author talks about the boys and defines them as โ€œgoodโ€ or โ€œbadโ€. Mayakovsky also explains to children the importance of personal hygiene - if the childโ€™s dirt is on his face, he will grow out of a son as a pig, if his son is a pig.

The author shows that the child should be hardworking, dare, this is clearly seen in the quatrains about the crow and the peanut, about the little book and the ball.

In all the verses of Vladimir Mayakovsky, one can trace some features of the Soviet era, for example, the Oktyabr, who say "a bad boy." In our time, it will be difficult for a child to talk about who the October people are, because the Soviet era is already in the past. But this does not affect the popularity of the poem. With it, parents can easily explain to the children about the good and the bad. At the end of the poem, the baby made the right choice - he will do well, it will not be bad. The author of the work was counting on such a choice.
