The fighter was born in the Swedish city of Arbug on January 15, 1987. In the octagon, Gustafsson Alexander received the nickname "The Torturer." His main fighting skill is boxing, although quite successfully he also uses grappling. He began to engage in sports at the age of ten. It has outstanding anthropometric data: height - 195 centimeters, and weight - 93 kilograms.

Gustafsson Alexander began speaking under the rules of MMA in 2006. Initially, he spent his fights in little-known promotions of his native country and the Old World. But already in 2009, the athlete moved to the UFC, where he was able to fully reveal his talents. His first opponent in the American organization was Jared Hamman, whom the Swede knocked out in the first round. However, already in his second battle under the auspices of the same promotion, Gustafsson Alexander was defeated at the hands of Phil Davis, and the loss turned out to be premature, since the tormentor was strangled.

This defeat gave impetus to the Swede for further development, and already for his next fight he was preparing even more seriously.
