Young years
Robert Arzumanyan made his first steps in his football career in the Yerevan Pyunik youth team. The guy progressed rapidly and at the age of 19 he was already close to the basic composition of the “phoenixes”.
It often happens that a young player shining among peers is “lost” on the field, having fallen into an adult team. In the case of Arzumanyan, everything turned out exactly the opposite. Playing shoulder to shoulder with the successful players, Robert not only did not drop out of the squad, but also gained experience very quickly among the veterans of the Yerevan team. It’s a joke, according to the results of their first season at Pyunik, football experts praised the actions of the young defender, awarding him the title of best player in the Premier League.
Invitation Abroad
Robert Arzumanyan played three seasons in Yerevan. During this time, they managed to pay attention to him not only in the Russian Premier League, to which the most gifted players from the Armenian championship traditionally leave, but throughout the Old World. The Danish Randers turned out to be the most efficient. Robert signed a one-year contract with the Danes, and after six months - a new contract, designed for four years. However, the star of Arzumanyan did not shine for a long time at “Auto Sea Park”. The new coach of the team increasingly left Arzumanyan outside the main team, and after the selection for Euro 2012 he completely transferred the defender to the backup team. Naturally, such a course of events was not included in the plans of the Armenian football player, in connection with which he asked to put himself on the transfer.
In early 2011, Robert Arzumanyan was negotiating with the Wroclaw "Slask", but this transfer failed when it seemed that the negotiations were at the final stage. As a result, the defender nevertheless ended up in Poland, but not in Slask, but in Jagiellonia. This period of the Armenian football player’s career can hardly be called successful, because after playing about a dozen matches, Robert for various reasons (a series of injuries, a change in the head coach in the team) stopped not only falling into the main team, but even into the application for the game. This was followed by a short lease in the Russian SKA-Energia and another uncertainty.
To the East
It is logical that Robert Arzumanyan started the new season already in the new team. It became one of the leaders of Kazakhstani football - Aktobe. With the team, the defender won the championship gold medals and once reached the playoffs of the second most prestigious European tournament - the Europa League.
In 2014, the press service of Perm “Amkar” announced that Robert Arzumanyan joined the team in the summer off-season. The footballer signed an agreement for two and a half years. However, it went wrong with the defender in the new club. Having not played for a season and a half dozen matches, the player again went to Kazakhstan to get practice, but this time the rental brought him nothing. Having played for Shakhtar in Karaganda, a talented defender and one of the best Armenian football players of the new millennium in the summer of 2016 was left without a club. Robert Arzumanyan did not announce the completion of a player’s career. However, to find a new team, being without playing practice and being at the age of “over thirty”, he will be oh how difficult.
