Silver Grape Ponds

History of the formation and origin of the name

The history of the name can be determined by events that have occurred since the distant past. In the XVII century, the pond in question was called Serebryany, or Serebryansky, due to the fact that it is located in the floodplain of the river. Serebryanka. And part of the pond is also known as the Grape Pond. This happened due to the fact that there were Izmailov Gardens, which were created long ago at the direction of the ruler - the royal estate. Silver Grape Ponds are mostly famous for the fact that a variety of exotic southern vegetables and fruits, including grapes, were grown in these gardens.
