Two years ago, this scandal was actively discussed in the media. At the beginning of June 2015, the staff of the restaurant "Old Omsk" (Lenina St., 23/1) gave a hot rebuff to the staff of the Pyatnitsa TV channel. The staff of the establishment tried to prevent journalists from the film crew of the Revisionorro in the kitchen. The result of the scuffle was a broken microphone by the famous host Elena Flying and a damaged video camera. During the filming, the host herself was repeatedly doused with water from a bucket. It was rumored that after covering these hot events on TV, the Old Omsk restaurant ceased to exist. For some time, the entrance to the institution was locked, and the phones did not answer. Many Omsk people here had fun under the sound of modern rhythms, met, fell in love and just relaxed from the daily rush.

At the beginning of June 2015, among the other catering establishments of the city, the object of the inspection “Revizorro” was the restaurant “Old Omsk”. The meeting with the staff of the institution turned out to be material and moral losses for journalists: property wrecked, a fight, dousing with water, attracting police, etc.
How was everything?
According to eyewitnesses, as soon as Elena Letuchaya, the host of the TV program "Revizorro", crossed the threshold of the restaurant, an aggressive-minded man attacked her. According to customers who visited the Old Omsk restaurant at that time, they are the owner of the establishment. A woman connected to him. The couple refused to introduce themselves to reporters. A real brawl ensued in the kitchen, in which all members of the “Revizorro” group got quite a bit. Restaurateurs did not restrain themselves neither in words nor in actions: they smashed cameras, pushed journalists, broke the leading microphone.
For her part, Elena Letuchaya, who asked employees to call the police, persistently tried to continue checking the sanitary condition of the kitchen. Then an aggressive woman, representing the inspected institution, twice poured cold water from a journalist from a bucket.
What violations have been detected?
As it turned out, the owners of the establishment were not in vain trying to interfere with the shooting. Journalists found that the restaurant’s kitchen was in terrible condition. Viewers were able to see that dirt and unsanitary conditions were everywhere - on the floor, and on the stoves, and on the hoods, and on the cutting tables. Fresh food in the kitchen was completely absent, as well as any kind of labeling. It has long been subject to replacement, as noted by the leading, deep-frying oil used in the kitchen.
In the kitchen, journalists found a large number of expired products that were not labeled: dubious meat, sour cream, and a plate with weathered sausage and meat cuts. In violation of the regulations, fruits, meat and cake were stored together in the same refrigerator. In the freezer lay a ham three months ago. The cameras recorded how the cakes lying in the kitchen for almost a week were sent by journalists to the scrap. In a no less deplorable state were also the toilet room and the hall for visitors.
Arriving police officers, instead of calling to order the unbelievable owners of the establishment, began, on the contrary, trying to remove journalists from the restaurant. At the end of the Omsk audit, Elena Letuchaya expressed a desire to report to the police on the fact of causing material damage to the group.
Rospotrebnadzor inspection results
After the scandal, Rospotrebnadzor employees also inspected the Old Omsk restaurant. The audit revealed gross violations in the content of equipment and products. Soon it became known about the closure of the institution.
Now what?
Omsk people now recall the restaurant "Old Omsk" solely in connection with the scandal. There are no reviews of grateful and regretting customers about its closure. On the contrary, many visitors express confidence that the institution should have been closed for a long time, since it disgraced the city. In place of the "Old Omsk", scandalized during a journalistic inspection, a new institution is now trying to work, for the second time in two years. The notoriety of the scandalous Omsk turned out to be so loud that people are still afraid to come here. In December 2016, the Shashlychny Dvorik cafe opened here, which, alas, did not last long.
Now, on the spot of the scandalous establishment, deservedly sunk into oblivion on TV, the new restaurant Old street has opened. Omsk citizens are invited to taste the culinary novelties and traditional dishes of the national Belarusian cuisine.
