Description

Lytkarinsk Optical Glass Plant (TIN 5026000300) carries out the development, production, and subsequent implementation of:

  • glass ceramics;
  • optical, technical glasses;
  • optical fiber and products based on it;
  • optical devices (mechanical, electronic);
  • production and technical products;
  • special purpose products.

Creature

The construction of the Lytkarino Optical Glass Plant began on October 1, 1933. The initial objective of the enterprise was the production of mirror reflectors of a half-meter diameter used in floodlight installations. The first anti-aircraft reflectors for spotlights were manufactured in 1939.

There were no such technologies in the USSR. Factory engineers had to develop a process technology from scratch. First, heat-resistant glass of high transparency was smelted in pot furnaces. Then, blanks were made from it, which were parabolic in accordance with the given parameters. At the final stage, the surface was covered with a reflective coating.

Labor feat

With the outbreak of war, the Lytkarino Optical Glass Plant was evacuated. However, in early 1942, the production of reflectors was partially restored on its site. In addition, the factory workers launched the production of viewing devices for armored vehicles and armored glass for domestic aircraft of the La-6, Yak-1, Il-2 series.

Post-war years

Since 1946, the specialization of the enterprise has changed. LZOS began to produce products from highly transparent glass, as well as glazing of cockpits of high-altitude aircraft. In the early 50s, production expanded due to viewing prisms for army equipment, binoculars, microscopes, photo lenses, optical filters and other civilian, scientific and military products.

The new era of the Lytkarino Optical Glass Plant has begun. Director Vitaly Shestakov, personally appointed in 1954 by Ustinov, was able not only to increase the production of existing products, but also significantly expand the range of products. Over 30 years of work, he brought the company into the category of world leaders in the field of optical devices. Thanks to its influence, labor productivity doubled every five-year period. The city of Lytkarino owes much of this development to this talented leader.

On the cutting edge of progress

The beginning of the 60s was marked by an important scientific breakthrough: the Council of Ministers ordered the Lytkarino Optical Glass Plant to produce a complex mirror blank 6 m in diameter. It was to be installed on a BTA telescope. For these purposes, it was necessary in conjunction with the GOI (State Optical Institute) to develop a technology for the production of innovative material - ceramic. It has unique characteristics, in particular, its linear expansion coefficient is equal to zero. Since 1964, LZOP has been producing fiber optic elements.

At the end of the 60s, the demand for optical-mechanical enterprises in high-quality optical glass increased sharply. This was facilitated by the intensive development of the space industry, the improvement of military equipment, surveillance and control facilities. 03/30/1970 created Rubin software, the main enterprise of which is LZOS. The newly formed production association was entrusted with the task of accelerating research work and increasing the production of optical glasses for various purposes. Subsequent years, PA Rubin built branches in the RSFSR (Belozersk), the Ukrainian SSR (Feodosia), the BSSR (Lida).

Today

06/07/94, the company was transformed into JSC "Lytkarinsky Optical Glass Plant". Since 2011, it has become the headquarters of the Competence Center for the development, production and processing of optical materials. After the collapse of the USSR, some of the deposits with raw materials required for smelting high-quality glass ended up in neighboring countries. However, the plant was able to restore its former ties, some of the minerals are purchased in foreign countries.

The technological capacities of the plant make it possible to produce all existing brands of optical glasses used in the domestic industry. Not a single enterprise of the Russian Federation has such capabilities. For example, a six-meter mirror was made here for the largest European telescope of the Zelenchuks Observatory. LZOS is deservedly one of the largest European manufacturers of optics.

Production

Lytkarinsk Optical Glass Plant is equipped with the latest automated equipment. Actively used electronic computing systems. The team has about 2,000 employees. LZOS manufactures civilian products for scientific institutions, the Ministry of Defense, search and rescue, and security agencies. Within its walls, the production of:

  • optical fibers, optical glasses;
  • mirrors used in foreign and domestic telescopes;
  • lenses for satellites, spacecraft;
  • binoculars, photo lenses;
  • children's toys;
  • bulky optics;
  • medical equipment.

Many years of experience and cooperation with research institutes have allowed us to establish the production of optical colorless and color glasses of 250 brands. A special place is occupied by high technology manufacturing specialized optics:

  • Glass-ceramic materials from glass, used in space observation satellites, telescopes, gyroscopes.
  • Chalcogenide or oxygen-free glass.
  • Phosphate or silicate-based laser glasses required for quantum generators.
  • Twisters used in sights and NVD.
  • Flexible fiber optic harnesses found in endoscopes.

In addition to the above components, LZOS has mastered the production of finished serial products:

  • prism devices with periscope in the range of 115-350 mm;
  • accurate electrically heated safety glasses;
  • prisms with object sighting;
  • NK light filters for television equipment, searchlights;
  • survey devices;
  • night glasses for driving automotive equipment, helicopter pilots, reconnaissance, security, repair, search services;
  • tank NVD;
  • instruments operating with increased radiation;
  • night binoculars.

In total, over 60 types of observation devices.

Technological process

In the scientific and technical complexes of LZOS, new types of glasses, components and finished products based on them are being developed. The company has 3 specialized manufactures: large-format optics, optical materials and devices.

LZOS has the technology and related equipment for the full assembly cycle of optical instruments. The company's specialists carry out:

  • glass melting with high optical performance;
  • fiber optic elements and blanks are made;
  • functional and protective coatings are sprayed on optics;
  • carry out casting of alloys based on brass, magnesium, aluminum;
  • assemble ready-made appliances;
  • produce lenses of large sizes;
  • stamped rubber, plastic products;
  • process metal and wood;
  • conduct electrical work.

The production is equipped with advanced testing equipment. The continent's largest 78-meter vacuum test chamber is the pride.
