In Tyumen, the stadium "Geologist" was a multi-stage reconstruction. The opening of the football arena was held in a festive atmosphere on July 31, 2011, the year of the 425th anniversary of the city. The opening was marked by a sporting event - a match among football teams: veterans of the city and “Artist” from Moscow.

The construction of the football arena was completed in 1982.
In the center of Tyumen, the stadium "Geologist" organically fit into the historical zone. The sports facility consisted of administrative and sports buildings. In addition to the main bowl, he had an additional training field, equipped with stands for spectators with 600 seats, his own garage with parking and adjacent territory. The arena worked for almost twenty years, in 2001 it was closed for reconstruction.
Overhaul: stages
The first stage lasted from 2001 to 2003. During this period of reconstruction, artificial cover was laid on the upper (training) field. In the arena, the racetracks and the playing field were updated and the building was partially renovated.
The second stage lasted from 2004 to 2006. At the training field, stands for spectators for 550 seats were converted, auxiliary facilities were built. We replaced the electric lighting with modern lighting with 4 operating modes and a maximum power of 1200 lux, changed the information board. They upgraded the radio facilities of the facility and repaired the fencing, landscaped the area around the stadium. New stands were installed for 11 thousand spectators with individual seats on the main field of the sports facility.
World-class football arena
The third stage of the reconstruction of the stadium "Geologist" in Tyumen took place from 2008 to 2011. They built a multi-storey administrative complex with stands located under a visor with a capacity of 1978 people.
The first floor is occupied by administrative offices, office premises of the football club.
On the second floor, medical treatment of athletes is carried out. The medical complex for sports injury and rehabilitation, equipped with modern medical equipment, provides services to athletes and residents of Tyumen. The stadium "Geologist" is always happy to welcome fans of physical education and sports.
On the third floor - the rehabilitation center of the football club, in the arsenal of which is the Turkish and Finnish baths, a jacuzzi and a swimming pool. Near the sports club City Fitness. The western podium was closed with a protective visor. Allocated a separate place for the press and 6 booths for commentators. The fourth stage of reconstruction is so far only in plans: the construction of a new arena with a football field, instead of the old one, which is planned for demolition, and the construction of a complex with a gym, hotel and boarding school.
City Sports Center
The reconstruction began with the goal of creating the Tyumen Football Club a modern training and competition base and the largest sports and entertainment facility in the city. All so that residents and visitors to the city during the year attended football matches and could themselves join in sports.
