The country's poultry industry is represented by state enterprises, private poultry farms and farms. In private poultry farms in Belarus broilers and processed products are at the same high level of quality as in state ones.
Competition in the industry is increasing every year. The market is not only provided, but also oversaturated with poultry, although products are exported to more than 10 countries.
To be competitive, you must:
- Reduce the cost of production.
- To produce a bird not only weighing 1.5 kg, but also smaller.
- Move to Muslim markets.
- Obtain veterinary certificates from countries interested in poultry exports.
Despite fierce competition, some state and private poultry farms in Belarus still manage to stay afloat quite well.
Leading enterprises
The list of poultry farms in Belarus is quite long. But only these five Belarusian farms were selected to supply poultry meat and products of its processing to China. You should get to know each enterprise better.
Agricultural combine "Dzerzhinsky"
It was founded in 1979 by joining several unprofitable farms to the broiler poultry farm. The company is located in the Minsk region, in the city of Fanipol.
In addition to the production of poultry products, the agro-industrial complex is engaged in crop production, cattle and fish breeding.
The production cycle of the enterprise begins with the receipt of parental forms of broilers and egg incubation. And ends with the sale of the finished product in Belarus and abroad.
Dzerzhinsky is the owner of numerous awards and prizes: “Product of the Year”, “Best Products”. He has diplomas and medals at agricultural exhibitions in Russia and Belarus.
The fleet has more than 300 units of modern technology.
Smolevichi broiler poultry farm
The Smolevichi Broiler company was founded in 1978 and is one of the few private broiler poultry farms in Belarus. The company is owned by Eugene Baskin. “Petruha” (trademark) is a leader in the production of poultry meat in the Belarusian market. Included in the top 10 countries of the CIS producers.
There are two large production sites. In the village of Oktyabrsky, Smolevichi district, Minsk region and the agro-town of Mezestiki, Mogilev region. Both have an international manufacturing safety certificate.
The company has its own fleet. It has a closed production cycle, starting from the production of feed and raising broiler chickens, and to the processing and marketing of finished products.
Vitebsk broiler poultry farm
One of the largest poultry farms in the Republic of Belarus. And the only one in the Vitebsk region where poultry is grown and processed.
Location: Vitebsk region, Vitebsk district, village Trigubtsy.
Produce products of more than 200 brand names "Gann". It is then sold through its own retail outlets.
Vitebsk broiler poultry farm is constantly and steadily developing. New stores open, the range is improved and updated. The company has a certified quality and safety management system.
“Ganna” won the Grand Prix in the nominations “Best Product”, “Product of the Year”. He is the owner of the anniversary award "People's Brand of Belarus".
Friendship poultry farm
Located in the Brest region, Baranavichy district, Zhemchuzhny agricultural town, Republic of Belarus.
The main emphasis was placed on the diversity and quality of products by the Druzhba poultry farm. They completely abandoned the addition of soy protein and minimized the addition of rapeseed to the poultry diet. Perhaps that is why their products have repeatedly won diplomas in various categories. The range of products includes more than 300 items.
This is a company with a completely closed production cycle and the most severe sanitary and veterinary control.
CJSC "Servolux Agro"
An international vertically integrated company is the industry leader in innovation. The holding has a very extensive retail network and 30 sales markets around the world. The company was founded in 1999.
A closed and almost completely automated production cycle, leadership in the production of animal feed in Belarus, a high share of exports - all this allows the company to be among the first in the production of poultry products.
In addition, the company owns the country's largest dairy farm with modern equipment, its own retail network and a large fleet.
The main office of the company is in Mogilev. There are also offices in Minsk, Moscow, Kiev, Smolensk.
Development prospects
Poultry farming is a very dynamically developing industry. With the transition of poultry farming to an industrial basis, its role in world agriculture has changed significantly. Now the production, sale and consumption of poultry meat in the world is growing very rapidly.
The market of the Republic of Belarus is simply oversaturated with poultry products, although the country is a leader in the consumption of poultry meat among the CIS countries. In conditions of such fierce competition, poultry farms in Belarus have to constantly look for new ways not so much to increase the pace of production, but rather in search of new markets.
I am glad that both private and state enterprises of the Republic of Belarus do not put product quality in favor of its quantity. It is unlikely that the country will ever catch up with the world's leading producers of poultry meat: the USA, China, and Brazil. But to slow down the pace of production means to stop developing. And to stop is to lose all previously achieved positions. Here the saying fits perfectly: “If you want to live, be able to spin.”
