What is chaotic? Meaning, synonyms, sentences and interpretation

What do you like more - order or chaos? Of course, when it comes to everyday life, order is better, and when it comes to life, then a little chaos is not so bad. True, we will talk about the confusion that few people like at all. The adjective “chaotic” is the concept that we will analyze today, draw up sentences, reveal the meaning of the word and its synonyms.

Mess in the room

Have you ever heard inconsistent stories? If yes, then you know the difference between oral narration and written. Oral can be chaotic, and there are reasons for this. When a person speaks, it is usually difficult for him to correct his story so that it is consistent. Sometimes emotions interfere, usually the same is true for children who are literally engulfed in the event, on the one hand, and with their emotions, on the other hand, with their reaction to the same event.

Written speech in this sense is the winner, here you can sit to think, and then already smoothly build the narrative. It seems that we are already ready to find out the meaning of “chaotic”: “It is a confusion, erratic, confused.” Of course, we are aware that we may well fall into the tautology, but nevertheless we will give a definition of confusion: "Extreme mess, complete confusion." It would also be interesting to know the origin of the word, but the etymological dictionary has deprived us in this sense.

Synonyms

When there is no history, then we, of course, weep bitterly, but we have to continue the path without falling to the roots. And next in line are the synonyms of “chaotic”:

  • incomprehensible;
  • confused;
  • messy;
  • chaotic;
  • unsystematic.

There is an important note here: if "confused" is a participle, then two "ns" are written, if the adjective is one. In our list we mean precisely the adjective, therefore, “n” is the only one.

When emotions prevail over logic, confusion arises. But in fact, confusion is sometimes born because the speaker lacks information. He gives the audience fragmentary information in which holes are visible with the naked eye. Emptiness and gives rise to a sense of confusion. When everything is in order with the flow of information, the sense of nonsense does not visit us.

We hope that the reader does not catch himself thinking that the narrative is chaotic. We tried to structure everything as logically as possible. And now we will make sentences with the adjective “chaotic”, this is inevitably required by the plan announced at the beginning. So, the options are:

  • His story was chaotic. It was evident that the incident shocked him.
  • How did I guess that he was lying? I asked him to retell the story the other way around: start from the end and get to the beginning. And his narrative became chaotic.
  • If your report seems chaotic to you, then you should take a separate sheet, write out the main ideas there and arrange the material according to the logic of the story.
  • A chaotic character can be in business, but not in a person.

Although the last statement is probably debatable. But in any case, other adjectives are usually chosen to describe human qualities: spontaneous, impulsive, explosive.

Why is there a confusion?

Shot from the movie "Dead Zone"

When the adjective “chaotic” is no longer a problem, I want to return to why this or that narrative sins with randomness. And here is not meant a tedious story about emotions.

Sometimes the interlocutors simply are in different realities. And one speaks from that side, and his counterpart is on this side. It is probably better to give an example. In the "Dead Zone" (1983) there is such an episode when Johnny Smith helps the police. And the killer’s things falling into his hands for a long time gave nothing, no response - and then he touched the victim. He had an image of a crime, and a psychic tells the sheriff how everything was. But, since the vision is still underway, only certain phrases reach the policeman, which have yet to be sewn into a single canvas. In other words, sometimes chaos has a mystical nature. This seems to be a great way to remember the meaning of the word being analyzed.
