A bit of history

In Belgium, in one of the provinces, where the largest deposits of porphyry are rocks, miners worked to extract this mineral. Nearby there lived a farmer Jules Referev, who decided to build a plant for the production of foamy drinks and open a network of pubs so that quarry workers after a hard day could skip one or another glass of delicious beer.

And he succeeded, in 1876 the man realized his plans. Everything went fine until the First World War. The family business was temporarily closed, because the Germans stole all the equipment. But in 1921, Jules' son and grandson decided to resurrect the Lefebvre factory. Prohibition and World War II again damaged the owners of the brewery. But even this time they survived, they managed to preserve their heritage.

Already the fifth generation is engaged in the production of beer, and as a result they entered the international market. This family still keeps traditions and continues to move forward.

Rouge de Brussels

The company produces a lot of varieties of foamy drink. One of the most popular is the beer "Rouge de Brussels". It is a strong (8% alcohol) fruit ale that has a deep dark purple color. It has a pronounced sweet and sour cherry flavor with a subtle touch of almond.

The Rouge de Brussels perfectly combines hops, sourness and the sweetness of ripe cherries. The finish gives freshness without bitterness. The foam is persistent and has a pinkish tint. This variety of red beer goes well with a variety of desserts and fruits, and can also serve as an aperitif. This is truly an elite and sophisticated beer for true connoisseurs.
