George Chanturia is a Georgian footballer who is currently playing for the Russian Ural. He is only 23 years old, so he is considered one of the most promising players in Georgia. Georgy Chanturia acts as the right winger, however, he can also move to the left flank, or even take the position of the center forward.

George Chanturia was born on April 11, 1993 in Georgia, in the city of Tbilisi, and from the age of 11 he began to play football at the academy of a small local club called “Saburtalo”. He spent five years there, and during this time he considered a huge talent. In 2009, he was rented for a season to the Barcelona youth team, from where he returned only to permanently move to another European club youth academy - the Dutch Vitesse. He spent one year there, and already in 2011 signed a professional contract with the club. In the first season, he got a place at the base and played 31 matches, scoring 4 goals. However, the next season started for the player unsuccessfully, and he spent only four matches in half a year - in the second half of the season he was leased to Alania, for which he played only six matches. Returning, George Chanturia continued to play for Vitesse, but without much success - for six months he played 12 matches and scored two goals. As a result, in the winter of 2014, it was decided to sell it for one million euros in the Romanian “CFR Cluj”.

George Chanturia is a football player who was initially considered simply an incredible talent, but gradually the enthusiasm faded away, and the player turned into increasingly weak and weak teams. Three months passed, and Chanturia was returned to Cluj on loan, as its form was far from ideal. He played 26 matches, scoring 6 goals, but even this did not impress the leadership of Verona, so the contract with the Georgian was not extended.
Contract with Duisburg and return to Russia
All summer the former genius sat without a contract, and only in September the German Duisburg offered him an agreement for one year. During this year, Chanturia played 22 matches, scoring 4 goals, and when the contract expired, he moved to the Urals. There he has already played 14 matches, scoring 4 goals and giving two assists, but now he has received a serious knee injury, due to which he will not be able to play until the summer. His contract is valid until 2019, so Chanturia can still try to recover and return to its previous level in the Urals.
