Russian midfielder Alexander Gaidukov

Gaidukov Alexander is a Russian footballer playing today for clubs in semi-professional divisions. He recently turned 38 years old, so he is close to completing a career that he once completed. Gaidukov Alexander plays in the position of a central midfielder. He has a fairly low height - only 166 centimeters, so many positions, such as the goalkeeper or central defender, were initially inaccessible to him. However, he found himself in the middle of the field, where he works quite well both in defense and in attacking terms.

Carier start

Gaidukov Alexander was born on January 25, 1979 in Volzhsky, and grew up there. It was in his native city that he began to study at a sports school, and then moved to the football academy of the Volgograd Rotor. Until 1996, he played for youth squads of various age categories, and since 1996 he began to play for the club’s double. In his debut season, the 17-year-old played 29 matches, scoring his first goal. For the next four years, Alexander Gaidukov remained a reserve player - for the first time he was called up to the main team only in 1999, when he was already twenty years old. Then he made his debut in one match, the next season he played three matches, and since 2001 has already been included in the club’s application for the Russian Championship. Gaidukov played for his native “Rotor” for four years - during this time he played another 68 matches, without having marked a single goal. However, in 2004, the player’s contract with the club expired, so Alexander had to look for a new job, and at such a high level he had never played.

Transition to Mordovia

Having left FC Rotor, Gaidukov joined Mordovia, which at that time played in the country's third most powerful division. There he spent four whole years, 126 times appeared on the field in the team’s T-shirt, scored six goals, and in 2006 helped his team enter the second division. True, Mordovia could not resist there and after a season returned to the third division, but the achievement was still recorded. In 2008, Alexander A. Gaidukov began to receive much less playing practice, so he decided not to renew the contract with the club, “Mordovia” was absolutely not opposed. The cooperation of the parties came to an end, it was quite fruitful, especially given the club's entry into a higher league in 2007.

Short term in Volgograd

In 2009, when the player’s contract expired, he returned to his homeland, signing a contract with Volgograd. He spent only one year there, but this year was probably the most successful in his career. He appeared on the field 35 times, scored six goals and became one of the most useful players in the modest club. The team, which did not show particularly impressive results, was able to finish the season in its league in third place, which gave it the right to fight for access to the second league. Thanks to this, the old dream of Gaidukov came true - he was able to return to FC Rotor. Other teams noticed his performances at Volgograd, but Alexander was aimed at reuniting with the team that raised him and in which he spent his entire youth, becoming a player. Unfortunately, the return was overshadowed by the fact that literally six months later the club was suspended from professional activity.

Return to the Rotor

At the beginning of the 2010 season, Volgograd Rotor played in the second strongest league in Russia, and in the winter transfer window the club was strengthened by its pupil, who spent a wonderful season in Volgograd. But Gaidukov managed to play only 13 matches and score one goal, when there was a scandal, because of which the club was suspended from the game, and its accounts were seized. Naturally, this did not allow the football player to continue his performances and get the most out of his beautiful form.

Further career

After an unpleasant situation with Rotor, Gaidukov could not return to big sport - at first in 2011 he played for Energy from Volzhsky, then in the lower league he spent the season in Urozhai, after which he announced the end of his professional career at the age of 33 . However, in 2015, his native club was saved - he was reorganized into a new team, called “Rotor-Volgograd”. Therefore, the 36-year-old footballer agreed to resume his career and spend the season on the new team. He appeared on the field 21 times and at the same time he marked one more goal. Initially, the football player planned to only play one year, after which he went back to rest. But in 2016, he felt a craving for football again, so he decided to play a little more, this time in the BIO club from the city of Svetly Yar. He stands for this club to this day. Naturally, it cannot be said that these are full-fledged speeches at the highest level, since he plays in the regional division with semi-professional clubs, but the fact remains. At the age of 38, Alexander Gaidukov continues to enter the football field as part of the BIO club.
