Undoubtedly, many of those people who use programs for reading and editing PDF files have come across a service that constantly hangs in the tree of processes running in the background . It is a link to the Adobearm.exe file. What is it, why and why such a service starts automatically with the "OS", we will now figure it out. But let's turn to the possibility of directly disabling this service. Naturally, if this is really the official “updater”, in the settings of the constantly pop-up warning, you can use the setting of the parameter like “Do not remind me anymore” and turn off the system at all.
However, this does not always work. The fact is that in some cases an Adobearm.exe error occurs, which the system interprets as critical, although, in general, it has nothing to do with Windows. Most often, this can be a consequence of the impact on office applications that are directly related to the PDF format (the same templates or exported Word documents).
On the other hand, if the official official installer of updates is really launched, the problem of the error can be connected with the commonplace reason - the lack of communication or Internet connection at a certain moment.
As for disconnection, in Windows 10 you can use the same “Task Manager”, where this component is selected in the startup section, and the button located at the bottom right is completely disabled.
For systems below the top ten (although this solution is applicable for Windows 10 as well), you should use the msconfig command entered in the Run menu (Win + R). Again, on the startup tab, you should disable this service.
Subsequent installation of Adobe product updates
So, we reviewed the upgrade process of Adobearm.exe. What it is, I think, is more or less clear. Now, instead of an afterword, there’s one thing about updating other installed products.
You can rest assured that any program of this developer has a hidden ability to launch online updates. It may not be expressed as a file like Update.exe, but it may be present in autorun mode, say, in terms of the dynamic library used, which has a link to the “updater”, or as a MSC service. There can be a lot of options.
But if you disable the main update (or delete it altogether, which is most preferable), then you will have to manually update Adobe products. But here it is worth noting one important fact.
