Keyboard shortcuts and their use in specialized programs

Most computers today are equipped with a mouse or touchpad, which allows you to quickly and conveniently use all the features and functions in various interfaces of the programs used. However, the mouse is not always available. This largely determines the difficulty in working with a computer. Managing it with the help of other external input devices is a requirement to know a certain combination of keys on the keyboard. The ability to work only with the keyboard (without a mouse) allows you to conveniently control the windows and capabilities of the computer, although it does not have the mobility that can be achieved using the specified external device. Moreover, in performing some manipulations, the keyboard is even better, more optimal, especially if the user is used to working with it.

This feature implements a certain combination of keys on the keyboard that activate the execution of certain functions. At the same time, some independent buttons have their own specialized purpose, calling the Start menu, deleting a file or displaying help in the Windows programming interfaces.

Some buttons, when combined, however, familiar to the computer user, activate minor functions that can also be carried out with the mouse, although their use through it is a little slower. These are the language switching keys (Ctrl \ Shift or Alt \ Shift - depending on the settings), closing the window (Alt \ F4), calling the program task manager (Ctrl \ Alt \ Del).

When working with interfaces of various programs, especially professional software environments designed to perform some work, a certain combination of keys on the keyboard activates the execution of a specialized function, which can also be called by activating the context menu in the software environment.

Such projects include design software, three - dimensional editors, editors of video or graphics, music and others. The same functions include copying text, a section of an audio or video track, a selected fragment of a graphic (Ctrl \ C), cutting out similar information (Ctrl \ X), pasting to certain sections in the work program (Ctrl \ V). You can cancel the performed actions using the combination (Ctrl \ Z). This target specialized Windows keyboard shortcut is implemented in the operating system itself, because if the program for editing music, graphics or video was developed for this environment, then the buttons on the keyboard will activate the execution of the target tasks.

When working with some programs that process graphic, sound, video or text information, it often becomes necessary to switch between several windows to copy data or evaluate the results in some emulators, as is the case when working with three-dimensional editors. And if you can copy with keys very quickly, switching between windows is not always the case, because there are several key combinations for this. The simplest one is Alt \ Tab, which displays a list of open programs in the form of icons in the center of the display. Holding the Alt key completely and using the Tab button, you can select the window that you want to display on top of the rest.

It is noteworthy that the above keyboard shortcut is not considered the most optimal and does not allow you to quickly switch between windows, especially if there are a large number of them. Therefore, it is better to use other combinations that allow you to slightly speed up this process. This is a combination of Alt \ Esc buttons, which allows you to go to the program window, which is open and minimized immediately after the interface that was used before activating this key combination. Therefore, this type of transition between windows is in many ways simpler and faster than using the previous combination.
