Sergey Voronov is a skater who performs in solo skating. He is the champion of Russia (2 times), the vice-champion of Europe and the repeated winner of major tournaments.
Childhood
The future skater was born in Moscow. Thanks to his parents, he started skating at the age of four. They entrusted their child to Rafael Harutyunyan, a coach with many years of experience. Voronov Sergey - a skater who worked hard from early childhood, trying to bring all the elements to perfection. In 2002, Harutyunyan left for the USA. The young man could not follow him, since he was a minor. Sergey decided to move to St. Petersburg. The new coach of the future champion was Galina Kashina.
Carier start
After training with Kashina, discontent appeared, which Sergey Voronov regularly showed. The skater was upset by the collaboration with Galina, since it did not bring success. The new mentor of the boy was Alexei Urmanov, who helped the young athlete to successfully start on the ice. In 2005, Sergey won silver at the junior championship. This award allowed him to participate in the 2006 World Cup. But Voronov was injured and could not go there. The next season, Sergey began with 2nd place in the Russian Championship. The Grand Prix was waiting for him in 2006-2007. This time he competed with adults and took only sixth position, not having received the right to participate in the European Championship. But at the World Cup, he performed very well, becoming the nineteenth.
Bad seasons
The years 2007-2008 were not very successful due to the health problems Sergey Voronov was experiencing. The skater could not fully perform the jumps, nevertheless he won a number of significant victories: first place in the Russian Championship, fourth in the European Championship and seventh in the World Cup.
Performances skater in the Grand Prix came with varying success. The latter was unsuccessful, and only a month remained before the World Cup. Together with the coach, Voronov decided to change the short program, picking up new music. As a result, he confirmed his own status, becoming a champion.

However, the athlete soon left this mentor. For some time he did not even look for a coach, but then, on the advice of Tatyana Tarasova, he came to Eteri Tutberidze.
