Not everyone knows that the Barnaul brewery is one of the largest enterprises in Altai. More than a century has passed, and he still leads the brewing industry of the food industry of the region.
A bit of history
It all began in the late eighties of the nineteenth century. It was then that the Vorsin brothers Fedor and Ivan built the first beer factory in Barnaul . The drink was brewed according to old German technology and sold in their own drinking establishments. The fame of beer spread quickly, so by the beginning of the 19th century, they knew about it not only in Russia, but also abroad. Built in 1978, the Barnaul brewery has become a worthy successor to the traditions of famous compatriots.
During the construction of the enterprise, a place was chosen for a long time. Firstly, it was necessary to take into account the size of the future giant. Secondly, it was necessary to think over all subtleties concerning raw materials in advance. Indeed, for such a product, one of the most important components is water. This is probably why the Barnaul brewery was erected in the place where the quality of groundwater best met the required indicators. As a result, an artesian well appeared on the territory of the enterprise, the water from which directly flows into the production shops. Its depth exceeds two hundred meters, which in itself gives a certain guarantee of cleanliness. Now the Barnaul brewery is a large production unit. And in a couple of years the enterprise will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
Production capacity
After privatization, the enterprise was transformed into Barnaul Brewery OJSC. Today, modern equipment has been installed in the production workshops, which produce about twenty-seven varieties of excellent beer and about 40 types of non-alcoholic products.
In recent years, the company’s management has carried out a major modernization. In some workshops, only morally and physically obsolete mechanisms were replaced, while in others whole lines were updated. So in 2008, a serious reconstruction was carried out at the washing and subsequent bottling of beer in kegs. In its place, a new line of German production now works. Also, equipment was purchased in the Czech Republic for the complete mechanization of the bottling and corking of glass bottles with crown caps.
As a result, the productivity of this sector has significantly increased, which, of course, was reflected in the amount of profit received. The section for drying and washing bottles was also not left unattended. A new line from Holland increased its productivity, which allowed us to consider issues regarding the general increase in production volumes.
Product range
Almost half a century ago, beer from Altai was considered one of the best in Russia, it was recognized and highly appreciated even abroad. And today the beer of the Barnaul brewery is able to compete with any well-known world producer.
The company produces beer of thirteen brands. Among them are such well-known as Vorsin, Zhigulevskoye, Medea, Barnaul, Golfschteiner, Cheshskoye and Feier Beer. According to local statistics, the total volume of production produced by the plant is about 60 percent of all beer in the Altai Territory and about 10 percent of beer in Siberia. These numbers say a lot. First of all, they confirm the quality of the products and the desire of consumers to buy them.
There are several lines at the factory where beer is bottled in containers with a capacity of 0.5, 1.5 and 2.5 liters of glass and PET. Such a variety is able to satisfy the desires of any buyer. In addition, products are produced in kegs and mobile forfas. Such implementation methods are now particularly popular.
