Types of swimming.

The concept of "swimming" means the movement of a person on water without touching the bottom. If we consider this concept from a sporting point of view, then there are such basic types of swimming: crawl, butterfly stroke, breaststroke and backstroke.

In the "crawl" style, swimming is performed on the stomach, while doing this, the hands are stroke alternately. The legs are continuously alternately raised and lowered similarly to the movement of the scissors, but at the same time they remain in relation to the body at an unfolded angle. If you characterize all types of swimming, then crawl refers to the fastest style. For this reason, it is also called freestyle. A lot of people choose this type of swimming. High-speed records for this sport are set precisely in the rabbit.

Many people are interested in how to learn how to swim a crawl in the shortest possible time. If desired, this can be achieved very quickly. It’s just that all movements must be repeated every day, and then the crawl will not seem out of reach.

First you need to warm up the lungs on land, breathing rhythmically with your mouth. Then you need to warm up the muscles, making movements with your hands like a mill, as well as swinging your legs similar to movements when swimming. After warming up, you should go waist-deep into the water and take a few breaths, then exhale while diving into it with your head. And finally - open your eyes and float like a float. To even out breathing, it is necessary to lie on the water. Lying on your back in the water, you need to work with your feet. Then do the same on the stomach. The next exercise is to push yourself from the bottom, slide face down in the water, while opening your eyes, and, working with your legs, help yourself. Then, with your hands, make movements similar to a mill, standing in the water on your shoulders. You can swim some distance with the board, actively working with your feet.

If you repeat these exercises several times daily, then after a week you can freely swim fifty meters crawl. The main thing is not to accelerate or slow down the movement, adhere to the rhythm of breathing, monitor the movements of the arms and legs, and try not to raise your head high above the water.

Another style of swimming on the stomach is a butterfly stroke. With him, both parts of the body, right and left, make symmetrical movements. The hands make a powerful and simultaneous stroke, in which the swimmer’s body is ejected above the surface of the water, the legs produce a wave-like synchronous movement.

This style of energy costs is considered the most difficult. For someone with an untrained body, it is very difficult to immediately master the butterfly stroke. In speed, this species takes second place after the rabbit.

The style of swimming on the back is similar in appearance to a crawl in making movements with arms and legs, but it also has some differences. Firstly, all movements are performed in a position on the back, and not on the stomach. Secondly, a straight arm sweeps over the water, and in a rabbit - bent. In speed, backstroke is in third place. In this style, the swimmer’s face is above the water, so there is no need to exhale in the water. Another distinguishing feature is that all types of swimming start from the nightstand, and when swimming on the back, the start is made from water.

The next swimming style is breaststroke. It also involves swimming on the stomach, with the simultaneous movement of the hands forward from the chest. The legs, bending at the knees, produce a simultaneous push and then straighten. This type of swimming is considered the slowest, because the return movements of the hands are carried out under water, and the movement of the legs is at intervals. This style is technically the most difficult, but at the same time you can swim breaststroke silently under water. Movements can be both sliding and relaxed, and sharp and energetic. The main elements of this species are a strong stroke, a kick with legs and gliding along the water. If you put a maximum of perseverance, then learning to swim breaststroke is not difficult.

All types of swimming at competitions differ among themselves by the start rules, as well as by the turning technique at the pool wall.

It should be remembered that after intensive training it is necessary to rest and restore breathing. All this should be carried out while lying on the water.
